The Acer was the cleanest BandB I have had the pleasure to stay in. The room and en-suite were immaculate and the breakfast was superbly cooked. A credit to the owner Karen, who was very friendly and helpful during our stay. This was the best BandB of our whole vacation, and we stayed at 7 different places. The room was clean, the breakfast good, wine and beer available for reasonable prices. It was also very close to the city.all reviews »
The excellent breakfasts - fresh strawberries for breakfast also a treat. The Acer is also well positioned between York Center and the racecourse - exactly where we wanted to be located. Room was small and badly laid out. Had to wait to pass each other whenmoving about. This is not condusive to relaxation. Location was a letdown street left lot to be desired.

From the A1 take the A59 into York, then follow the above directions.
From York Railway Station (10 minute walk):
Turn right out of the station. At the traffic lights, turn right into Blossom Street. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights into Scarcroft Road. Scarcroft Hill is the first turning on the right.
