The staff we very helpful and made sure we had everything we asked for. Thye were pleasant, polite and helpful. This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the railway station and two minutes from the centre of Manchester and you will go through or past canal street on the way. The staff were so helpful and nothing too much trouble for them. Very impressed how they looked after us and definately come back again.Thank you.

Was promised a free bottle of wine because of booking it a certain date. Never recieved it. Neither of us are wine drinkers so we never asked but would of been nice if they kept to their promise. Overall though, staying for a couple nights it was a nice hotel.The resturant was closed on the weekend we were there. I would have appreciated wireless internet access. Hard to find, need a bigger sign. toilet don't have door, temperature in room quite cold and also heater is not hot.Room was very warm even with the heat off. The heating in the room - the controls were unclear and there was no way of setting an actual temperature. Nothing really - the bed was slightly uncomfortable but you get used to that in hotels in the UK!. Some noise when people returned early hours in the morning. The internet facilities in the lounge were so slow, I actually died a slow and painful death waiting for internet explorer to open.The room window had been left open and the heater turned down so it was very cold initially. poor tv reception. A little pressure by telephone to get out of your room the following day at 11am. No obvious way of making a pot of tea/coffee rather than a cup at breakfast. Also, limited hot water in jugs.The choir music that woke me up @ 10am after agood night on the beer :0.

Travelling information

From the m602 go onto the a57 Mancunian Way. Keep in nearside lane and leave at the exit signed Umist. Take the immediate right slip road onto Sackville Street, and the hotel is the 2nd building on the left.

From Piccadilly Station, please take the escalator down to the lower level, as you come outside the station if you look to the right you will see traffic lights to the left of the traffic lights across the road you will see Granby Row, please walk down this road going staright ahead. When you get to the end of the road you will turn left, keep walking with the natwest bank and retro bar on your right hand side. Walk ahead we are the second building on the righ hand side after you have crossed the road.

The car park is on Charles Street which is 5 minutes walk to the hotel. It is a pay and display car park.
