  Absolutely nice connection with center of London, you need only 1 bus toget there. The best value for money payd. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful and I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel after I checked out and came back to pick it up later.   The room was very clean and bright with a comfortable bed. The hotel was just what you’d expect a two star hotel to be nothing fancy but all the basics catered for and in a lovely period building. On arrival I was greeted by a pleasant lady on reception, who was very efficient.   Well, very friendly, concerned staff. You can see that they really want to please you. When I called them to say I couldn't arrive on time and asked for a late check-in I had been told "no problem". Another example is when I had to leave without getting the package I ordered on the Internet (it was delivered late after my check out) one of the man... what people say » gers, Inese, wrote me an mail telling that they had got it and then sent it to my next hotel for me on the next day. Also I liked the location of this - breakfast was simple but enough. They provided a cooked English breakfast (without sausage!) but toasts, some fruits, yogurt and cereal were self-service so it was quite nice. The room was small but tidy and comfortable. And the shared bathroom was clean and not crowded. I didn't wait to take a shower.

Though this is a small hotel, it is clean and located in a very quiet and safe environment. Breakfast is fairly okay. So far, we did not have any problems regarding theft or any loss of personal properties while staying at the hotel. I think the guests themselves should be responsible to take care of their valuables and not to leave their money or other important things when they go out of the wherever hotel they are staying.   It is simple, has the basic comforts, great internet service and a wonderfully helpful staff. The location is perfect. It has easy access to the entire city of London and beyond, and lots of food options. As a single traveler, I especially appreciated the fast food and grocery stores available. It also has its own personality, not a cookie cutter ... what people say » hotel at all. I especially appreciated the in-room coffee pot! - The location is great, the staff was very nice and helpful. I had everything I needed: extra blanket, hair dryer, TV. I even had a chance to boil water and make a tea in my room I have stayed in other hotels next to Elmwood Hotel, and I think that this has been my best choice so far. If the prices will stay just as low are they are right now, I'll defenatly return there
