I found the staff very friendly and helpful on reception. Helped with luggage up stairs and very helpful with directions etc. Staff in breakfast room also very friendly and would have made you anything. Breakfast lovely. I had a single room in their adjoining building which was very modern and clean and large enough for a single person. Room was cleaned every day. Well equipped with plenty of closet space, mini fridge, tv, hairdryer and plenty of helpful advice on local restaurants, attracti.
all reviews » You get what you pay for. Though this is a small hotel, it is clean and located in a very quiet and safe environment. Breakfast is fairly okay. So far, we did not have any problems regarding theft or any loss of personal properties while staying at the hotel. I think the guests themselves should be responsible to take care of their valuables and not to leave their money or other important things when they go out of the wherever hotel they are staying. Besides the quiet surroundings, it is a 3-5. The experience we had as a family (with two children) was superb. The hotel was great and was recently refurbished. There was a warm welcome from the staff and he was very helpful and accommodating. He was very pleasant and really nice. The room was magnificent and very clean and it was a very good value for money. The location was perfect and have easy access to all the attractions London can offer. Of course there is the possibility that your room ist located in the second part of the hotel around the corner (literally 30 steps only) - but this part is really well refurbished and rooms might be even more quiet. So didn't mind about that (they even informed about that in advance via email!) Price is quite high, but for London 1 (especially for W1 to W10 or NW1) ok!. Breakfast room a little cramped. Nothing. Would not be good if you have any problem with stairs - had to climb four flights of quite steep stairs to get to the room and breakfast served in basements so even more stairs - no lift as far as I could see. Fine if you are fit enough to cope with the stairs though. We were on the top floor which meant that without a lift there were lots of stairs to climb, it did not cause us a big problem but would not suit everybody. The rooms were very small and you have to go to the hotel for breakfast which is not a problem but the dining room is also very small with nowhere near enough tables to accommodate all guests, there was a long queue of people waiting for a table as we left. Maybe a dining room in the annex would help. Shower room a little small. Breakfast was included, but very basic. Narrow stairs - difficult to get to the top floor with big bags. Nothing. Bathroom on the small side, but still adequate for a few nights. Room smelt a bit of smelly feet, no water for shower in the morning. But the surprising thing is that the prices for each of two nights were not the same. tiny bathroom. I received an email post booking to state that I would be staying in an annex around the corner with no facilities. There was 6 flights of stairs and no lift and no warning of it. You also had to walk back to the main area 100 metres for breakfastu. Very small room. Small rooms. Nothing.
