The location is excellent! Right near Kensington Park and one block from two tube stations along with good shopping street nearby for inexpensive and better food choices. The facilities were spacious and comfortable- a full kitchen and comfortable bed, great view. Wonderful accommodations. Brilliant location, good room and layout, well priced, and self catering facilities made breakfast really easy. Having two tube stations nearby on the central and circle lines makes travelling around so much easier, and it was right beside Kensington Park.
all reviews » Good location, nice surroundings, a lot of food shops, restaurants, pubs and several metro stations. The apartment is very quiet and quite clean. The stuff is helpful. Easy to get everywhere. Comfortable bed. You can regulate the heating. The apartment was little, but comfort. Kitchenette was excellent. There were all the machines you need. The dish was a little dead and there were only two of each. The towels were changed two times during five days we spent there. Staff were friendly, room was clean, compact but everything you needed for 2 people, you could easily stay a week the kitchen area was small but again everything you needed :). Excellent location, good option for people travelling in pairs (would be very cosy with three people!) The bathroom has a bath as well as a shower which is a bonus. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was adequately equipped for making breakfast for ourselves. The location next to two underground stations was excellent. Really enjoy my stay there . The letter from letsbookhotel.com stated that check out time was from 0500 to 1100. Based on that information we had planned to leave at 0700 for a trainat 0800. Then we found the reception office did not open until 0900 so we missed our train. Not the end of the world but if it had been a flight we had to catch or an appointment to keep it could have been more serious. there was no room service for the 3 days we stayed in the hotel, and no cleaning at all. No clean towels until you ask for it from the reception which is a few buildings away from the room. in short if you are short on money this is the place to stay in, otherwise it doesn't have any thing special which makes me recommend it to a friend. Great location, next to Bayswater tube station and Queensway (5min. walk). The size of the room was good, we stayed in a superior one bedroom apartment. The sofa was not the most comfortable place to sleep, but it was decent enough. The price was quite reasonable for central London. The walls were thin so that unfortunately I had a very noisy neighbor who could easily be heard all night talking loudly and playing music. The laundry facilities were very limited for the size of the place so that we needed to go out to a local Laundromat to do the laundry. The lack of decent wifi. Only my sister was able to get on it. This caused big issues in the evening, because we couldn't plan the next day's activities. The lack of phone reception meant I has to leave the building to get my emails. Finally, no air conditioning and the provided fan was broken. Not good when those rooms get seriously hot!. Not enough household utensils (no grater and kitchen towel,only one frying pan). There aren't shelves in the cupboard. As we lived at the attic, the waterpressure was rather weak in the shower. The windows were very dirty, and it seemed that they were not washable at all. You couldn´t open the windows, so we lifted the window up and put a pan under and got fresh air. 5 flights of stairs and no lift, as we were on the top floor, but we were happy to walk, not ideal if you have heavy luggage or children though. Having said that the views of the streets from our room were fab! :). Fittings are slightly worn and the suites are pretty small - though reasonable as a budget option. I had asked a room not in the basement but they located us in the basement room anyway. There was only a tiny window where a bit of sunlight could get in but the room was still pretty dark and unattractive. Plus, the walls were very thin so we could hear the parties going on upstairs annoyingly well. No things like that. Didn't like being in the basement as it was a bit gloomy but would know in future to request a different floor. Everything met our expectations. Air condition didn't work. Laundry wasn't convenient. TV channels were mostly Arabic. Very thin walls and you can hear your neighbor like he/she is next to you. I did not like the noise of other people when they get in and out of the residential. The hob did not work but we could utilize the other facilities. No basin had a stopper and I would suggest you issue it with the keys as it wastes a lot of water. The apartment was too upstairs n had no lift so my parents being old found it too tiring. The room was slightly worn out and the shower room was more like a closet. Marks on walls, chipped plates. The staff promised to change the pan which is not flat on the base and does not contact well with the stove but failed to do so even after we checked out two days later. 3rd floor without lift. didn,t like the 84 step climb to the suite. Noisy people in the next room. Rooms were overlooked. Too early check out time. a noise coming from below the kitchen unit... Horrible smell, couldn't work the cooker. Our room was at the top of 5 flights of steep stairs and there was no lift. Fortunately, we are quite fit and were able to manage the stairs although I'm sure many people would have difficulty. an awful smell from the sink, sofa bed a bit uncomfortable. Our apartment was in the basement and no natural daylight. Also didn't like the fact that the bedroom wall did not go to the ceiling which was weird. Small rooms. 1) creaking wooden floors....quite disturbing as you can hear the occupants of neighbouring units walking around 2) no sports channels on TV 3) low water pressure. Waiting on the queue for 40 mins in reception.... No lift. bathroom amenities bathroom sink stopper was stuck. stairs!!! 84 steep stairs to climb to the apartment, only for those who are fit!. bathroom very small. We were given suite no. 1 at 77 Inverness Terrace which is at the very top (without a lift) and the bed was too low (not more than a foot high). Being a mature couple (66 & 67) the receptionist should have used her common sense and given us a suite on a lower floor and with a normal high bed. The letter from booking.com stated that check out time was from 0500 to 1100. Based on that information we had planned to leave at 0700 for a trainat 0800. Then we found the reception office did not open until 0900 so we missed our train. Not the end of the world but if it had been a flight we had to catch or an appointment to keep it could have been more serious. The room was located in the basement of the building next to the laundry room. There was a tiny window which made the place look like a prison cell. The staff was not kind to us and refused to switch our room with the only excuse of our being late to check-in. Bearable for 3 nights only. Make sure to request a ground or upper floor room, or get ready to be surprised (not in a good way).
