The receptionist were friendly and always smile when they saw us. We got the basement rooms as we booked three rooms and requested for the rooms to be closed to each other. I am happy that the hotel were able to fulfill this request. We really love the modern design of the rooms. Wifi was free and it's very fast too. Excellent hotel at an affordable price. :). I thought the staff were welcoming and helpful. The location was exceptional and the apartments were excellent value for money. I opted for an apartment because they were better value for money than a hotel. I will be visiting again sometime in the future and have advised people i know of 73 apartments. all reviews » Good bed and shower. Kitchenette with table & 2 chairs, microwave, fridge plus ample utensils for basic DIY catering. Good location next to Queensway. Good value compared to many more expensive hotels with a lot less to offer. Location was brilliant for my needs. Staff were very understanding and professional. Very comfortable beds. Bathrooms were of modern design and clean. Free wifi. We booked a standart double room. The room itself is spacious enough, modern design, very nice bathroom with a power shower. Perfect for a short stay. Room was small, but not too small. Bed is comfortable for 2 person and it is soft. Everything was good, very nice room and staff. The towels being folded into a swan on the bed. It is close to the tube and main road but external noise is minimal. Good location, 5 min from Bayswater Station. Good window view from room as we stay at the top floor, 4th floor. -good city location: -easy to reach (tube nearby) -room clean and nice furnished. The self contained double room was cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely return back. Location brilliant for weekend activities booked!!. Was cleaned everyday. Location and that it offers suites. in a lovely area. we chose this hotel for the location and the value for money. the freeview, dvd player and wifi all worked perfect. shower was hot and the room (basement) was clean and airy. it had the basics which is all we expected and needed as we went shopping and site seeing we only needed it to sleep in. The room was basically a small studio and had everything you need for a short stay including a kitchenette with kettle and cooking utensils. It was close to the city within walking distance to Hyde Park and 5 mins walk to Bayswater and Queensway station. There was also a few supermarkets nearby. Very helpful staff. Close to all amenities in Bayswater and tube station. As my room was basement it had a door onto the garden the staff gave me a key to pop outside and smoke. The accommodation did not match the expectations given by letsbookhotel.com. unpleasant odor on the hotel's staircase .Some rooms are very humid and has a damp smell, most likely because of blocked air bricks. Everything was very good. Not having a plug-hole in the sink. And the screaming child next door early in the morning. Wifi Rounter not stable, need reset myself outside the door. I have no internet for whole night before asking the internet problem. Chairs are bad to sit, like empty. Not work for the room telephone. The malfunctioning Tv remote was not repaired or replaced for the 10 days we stayed. Very cold room even with heat on full, also no DVD player attached to tv like before?!?. Cold at times, heating not working properly. nbo lift and a lot of narrow steps to top floor, the advertising of the front of hotel not same as hotel. There was no elevator this is the only problem, ask for G or 1st floor room.we had no problems or negatives during our stay. The downstairs room we got did get a little stuffy at times, but we were there during the winter, so it wasn't a huge problem. I had a basement room and it was very small. I wanted to pay by bank transfer and had great difficulty with the managing agent to get an invoice as payment was made to the owner. However at the end it worked fine but they need to tighten up this way of paying to install some confidence as I nearly cancelled a ukp1250 booking. Maintenance/upkeep not being done properly - door handles coming off, remote control not working, switches loose. Wifi very unreliable. Very very small rooms hardly an inch to move around. You could actually jump into bathroom from your bed. Check in strictly not allowed before 2 pm Staff not too courteous. No food served!. TV didn't work though staff said it did but didn't explain how until check out and no instructions in room. Man on reception wasn't overly concerned. Someone had wrapped a plastic bag around the smoke alarm. Alarming! Staff not too fussed when I reported that either. I had to pay extra £15 per night for baby cot!! Which is free on others hotel and apartments. There was apparently no option for early check in. Getting to London on an early flight from Dallas means that you have to find something to do till the 2pm check in time. Shower was not fully operational I paid extra for a deluxe room and it was basic. The deluxe features on the shower did not work. There were holes in the wall. Not quite as good as the photos suggest. curtains didn't cover the window. Teeny tiny pillows on bed. Shower system looks very sophisticated but nothing worked in it. Door knob hanging loose from the bathroom door. We couldn't even close the bathroom door properly. Such things should not have to be reported by guests. They should be noticed by staff! Wifi was erratic one night. There was no lift and the staircase is very narrow. I couldn't lock the door overnight from inside. Bed, broken shower, no manager just email, tired fixtures and fittings, broken tv remote. -The staff not helpful -Cant lock the door, due to there is no lift in the hotel, i have to walked down to ask for help but the staff very lazy to help me to go to the room... -If you taking shower at night with lights on, people from outside can look through your bathroom. Third bed was only available after one night, noisy, cleaning not so good, flat three stores up difficult to get with luggage. No TV control available during stay. Short of TV channel options. The location of the room right next to reception, could hear everything through the thin walls plus people walking past the door with trolleys. No bed-side lamps only light source was from the ceiling and bathroom Very tiny room and super hard and uncomfortable bed Avoid room G02 at all costs if you plan to stay at this hotel!. Only saw one member of staff, the receptionist who wasn't very welcoming. basement rooms very dark. filthy floor. to expensive also for London. use of the space and position of the different furnitures and fittings in the room and in the bathroom; too rumourous (outside and inside noises); staff; very limited kitchen equipment (staff did not know how to make it work) . it didn't look like a hotel it looks like a house could do with a sign up that would help!!... It's not good for money Staff are nice Rooms are small but for what I payed I'd would of thought be bit bigger then a box Hot water is ok but the heating DOSN'T work, cold all night!! if it was half the price id have nothing to moan about but at £150 a night Iv stayed in 5* at that price and I wouldn't even give them 1*. reception procedure and staff.... first time I have EVER been asked for my passport checking into a hotel in my own country.... I had no prior warning of this so had no passport with me...obviously!. 1/ Very bad Wifi connection 2/ Unstable air condition. Very badly trained reception staff. Poor manners, very agressive and not friendly. Everything except bed. It felt cheap, cramped and tatty. Door opened onto bathroom wall, so you had to enter sideways. Knocks in plaster work. Quality of the furnishings: cheap wobbly wardrobe, hiding light switch and in place of one bedside table. Filthy windows without a net so we had to keep curtain closed and light on. Nowhere to put a suitcase. An iron and board, with hardly room to stand to use. Receptionist not able to offer any alternative.
