Everything about this hotel was incredible - we found ourselves wanting to stay longer - Gaia at the front desk reception was so very helpful, friendly and enthusiastic about the property. Our room was spacious and included anything one might need for extended stays. The colors of interiors and furniture were not only modern and soothing but so very comfortable and clean. The location was everything we had hoped for. The "Roxburgh's Court Close" location was not as difficult to find and ac.
all reviews » The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. Very central location at the 'Lawnmarket' on the 'Royal Mile' in the Old Town, in the shadow of the castle itself - great for sight- seeing most within a very short walking distance and only a short bus ride to others. This place is an absolute gem. I didn't realise when we booked it that this place had only opened in July.Just about the perfect location on the Royal Mile & the facilities are fantastic.Very comfortable modern rooms with just about every facility/convenience you could wish for.Within our group we booked 3 apartments & they were all great.The Scots tend to outdo us English on service & the service here is brilliant by any standard. The Chambers is just amazing! We stayed in the penthouse and this must be in the Top 5 places to stay in Edinburgh. Terrace with amazing 180 views across the city was spectacular. Really high quality finish of the interiors including Bose sound system & freestanding bath. Fully equipped with everything you could need. Staff were the friendliest, enthusiastic and most helpful I think I may have ever met! Was very sad to leave!. The facilities are new and in good condition. We stayed in the 3 bedroom appartment for 2 nights which has a great view of the Scott Monument. The linens are very comfortable. The appartment is very quite while located in the heart of the city. Staff was warm and helpful. If you want to have a light meal, there's a zizzie downstairs of the appartment. In a word, it is a perfect place to enjoy your stay in Edinburgh. Loved the convenience and the apartment was fabulous. Very new, clean, and secure. For a family with young kids we wanted to make sure we were staying in a safe area. With 24 hour staff we felt safe. The facilities had everything we needed for our short stay and the staff was amazing. They were very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area and restaurants/shopping, etc. The apartment is new, comfortable and equipped with the latest advanced appliances and furniture, besides you get a good view of princes street. It was a beautiful apartment with a big balcony overlooking Prince Street. The bed was very comfortable and the fold out couch was a comfortable bed as well. The location was wonderful and located right in the heart of things but back so you didn't hear any street noise. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is good and the facilities are very advanced!! Also, if you are in an apartment that is facing to the Princes Street Garden, you will enjoy the view from the balcony! Thanks for a wonderful stay. The apartment has the wow factor. We had to cut our trip short by a day unfortunately. The lay out is great, location brilliant the beds were fabulously comfortable. We would stay there again - no doubt. Also the staff extremely helpful. the serviced apartment which allowed us to have breakfast in before we explored the city. The apartment was well equipped. Close to lots of different resturants. Walkable from the Waverly station and close to all city tours. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with great views over the city, we moved on to the Radisson blu( for pushchair access but this wasn't a shade on the chambers). Overall a great place for anyone without a pushchair!. Property was very modern and clean(new). a few minor inconveniences with some painting in the hallways, but the service, property and location was outstanding!!! definitely would come back and stay again!. I wish there was a breakfast option to be added with the accommodation .... The door to the shower was only half so water came out on the bathroom floor a lot soaking the bath mats. Finding the apartments for the first time isn't that easy as well as it's obvious for you after being there once; as we've spent only one night we let our suitcases in the car and picked just the necessary things; there are lots of stairs to reach the apartments and I can image it wouldn't be great fun to search the apartments with suitcases.(Best way to do if you have a car: keep your suitcases in the car, check-in and get your suitcases afterwards). Access is tricky - especially with heavy luggage, but we coped. Since it is so brand new, our taxi had trouble locating with just a name and address. Just know it is directly next to Mary King's Close, across from St. Giles. Enter through either Roxburgh's Close or Mary King'S. Once located, perfect !. Nothing!. The light system is a little odd. Also having the option to turn off the fan in the bathroom would be helpful. It was a bit noisy as it was very close to the Royal Mile. Since it was newly opened/renovated, there were still a few things to fix (lights flickering, light bulb missing) but this did not really inconvenience us and the staff were prompt to respond when brought to their attention. The google app on the web site gave the wrong address when phoning the chambers we received a knowing laugh down the line that this was an a mistake. The location is not great access for pushchairs, this put us off staying further. Finding parking to first get there was a challenge as it was the Fringe when we went. I suppose it would normally be easier. Access by the steps hard work- but found a better road route over South bridge not much further away. The booking confirmation should have the door number as the cabie had difficult in finding out the place . My stay was too short!. Last minute touches missing - loose window fittings, noisey doors which slam loudly throughout the building, paint marks on doors, extractor fans that could wake the dead !! All fixable but took the edge off a little bit and certainly don't add up to 5* standards. street noise (a very loud Thursday night), nespresso cups not replenished every day. Lots of stone steps to reach the front door and no porter....difficult if you have heavy luggage (we didn't!). Housekeeping: opened the sofa bed to find on the floor dust and toys left by previous clients. nothing. Nothing negative. Nothing. The wifi is a little bit slow during the peak time. Nothing. Very minor dislike was there was no mirror in bedroom to dry hair! Had to keep nipping back and forward to bathroom mirror! Wouldn't actually complain about it but would be good if had mirror in bedroom or socket for hair dryer in bathroom!. A little difficult to find initially as entrance is in Roxburgh's Close off High Street. noise from other room doors: doors to the apartments have no handle so when someone comes or goes the doors bang loudly. Bit of an issue if your bedroom is near the front door and when people are coming back to their apartments late at night. nothing to dislike. Great location once you know where it is. A bit hard to find on the first visit. - Best access is through a narrow street with some steps (through Roxburgh's Close). All other alternatives involve *a lot* more steps. This can be complicated for taking luggage in and out. The only thing is that the apartment has several unlocked window, but I am sure this can be easily done if requested. Light in one of bedrooms came on in middle of the night intermittently. There didn't appear to be a switch to turn it off! Thankfully rectified quickly on reporting to staff.
