This was a fantastically positioned apartment, right in the middle of eveything, although the street was quiet at night which meant that sleeping was not a problem. The apartment was spacious, very comfortable, infact my children want to move here! Very close to all the main areas and sights, with easy access to the main rail station. Excellent local cafes and restuarants means that eating out is not a problem. Edinburgh was a really freindly and safe place to visit and we want to stay here aga.

The appartment is fantastic, with a large living space, large comfortable bedrooms and a well equiped kitchen. The location is fantastic,nothing is more than a 10 min walk away, at most. The staff/owner was exceptionally accommodating and helpful. We were traveling with a friend and the apartment, with two bedrooms, was exactly what we needed and spacious. It had a full kitchen, a washer-dryer (which came in handy when we got caught in a torrential downpour and needed to dry our clothes!). The owner was so helpful during our whole visit and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was beautiful, clean and spacious. The pictures on the website don't do it justice as all! Also fantastic location, we me we walked more than 20mins to everywhere we visited and it's right near the main train station. Perfect location. The owner Zahir (I hope I spelled it right) is a legend. Helped us with everything we needed. Starting with parking and ending breakfast recommendation. There are some great restaurants and bars on Cockburn Street itself and you can walk to all central areas & fringe venues. Three rooms. If staying for more than a couple of days the kitchen could do with a few more cooking implements and dishes in order to produce enough food for a family. If only staying for a couple of days the excellent local eating establishments mean that this would not be an issue. Due to the location, it can be a bit noisy, at times, into the early hours. However, the location wins and our young children (5 to 9 years old) were tired enough that they were not disturbed. A bit noisy on weekend nights due to street life; didn't bother us, but for people who might have difficulty falling asleep, the noise might be a problem. But we would use the apartment again without hesitation. Nothing!. Everything was perfect. Website photos are nothing like actual apartment. This doesn't do company any favours as the apartment was good value for size and location but photos lead to higher expectations. Rooms were a little tatty in places, loose fixtures (loo roll holder!) could easily have been noticed/fixed. 1. Our apartment was in the 2nd floor with senior citizens in our group, the dodgy steps also did not help matters. 2. While we were there TV was non functional although we were not particular about its usage. It was a bit dusty - lampshades, under sofa etc. It was clean in all the bathrooms and the kitchen but could do with a really good spring clean overall. Wouldn't stop me from renting the apartment again though. If you are traveling by car, parking can be tricky. The owner was very helpful in helping us get the parking sorted but there is no perfect parking solution here. Nothing. It was cold in the apartment. There was a bbq smell in the kitchen. Apartment interior is a bit old, needs some refurbishing. On street parking can be expensive. Nothing. Maybe on high street so they are more expensive than in England. Entry hall leading to the apartment is smokey and dirty. nothing. since its bathroom is on the upper level, people who use sofa-bed has to climb stairs at night. but if it's for a couple, it is perfect. Everything was to our liking. Quite noisy at night but with the location not surprised. No instructions for washing machine and dryer. Altho modern an airy the apartment could do with a little TLC but woul stay here again for one night. a few things were not working, they could have been more pro-active. shower was blocked with hair! washer did not work. No wifi, what is of course, the thing you really come for. Was hard to find Smelled of cigarettes. Inflated price during the festival, and I still had to clean the fridge. I would expect it to be spotless for that price, even in the busy festival period. It's not clear in the info that the double bedroom isn't a room but a mezzanine space. lack of instructions for appliances - some wandering electrical cables - NO microwave for a rapid meal -nor serving dishes - and why there was nothing to dry dishes with is beyond me. Only one shower for 6 people not greAt for a night out!!!!. Pipes and boiler were an issue as was the cleanlyness of the cutlery and plates etc from the previous occupants. It should be more clean， no need to use sofa be a bed. Location was good for sightseeing however the area was run down which came as a shock with no advance warning. Some items were in disrepair. No air conditioning (we were there during the hottest summer in years). Some windows wouldn't open, others wouldn't shut. Being on High Street, you would hear the drunk revelers at 3 in the morning. Church bells would go off every hour, scare the seagulls, who would make more noise. I would return to Edinburgh, but stay at a more modern hotel, farther from the pedestrian walk way. No wi-fi as advertised. Had to collect keys from another location and carry bags some distance to the apartment.

Alternatively, you can check in at the reception at the shop "Mama Said Food" (40 Cockburn Street, Edinburgh) and pick up the keys there. If you are arriving after 20:00, you must contact My Edinburgh Apartments to make other arrangements. Please also note the apartments are spread on the first, second, third, and fourth floors and due to the age of the buildings there is no lift. They are based in the Old Town of Edinburgh. Guests must contact Myedinburghapartment prior to arrival and key collection will be from key boxes located outside the apartment. An email will be sent with instructions before arrival. Please inform Myedinburghapartment - Various Locations in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
