What people say
Apartment was fantastic, very central and everything you could need for a city-break. I would definitely stay again. Staff very friendly and helpful, location was perfect, apartment was lovely, very spacious and clean.Lovely apartment in great location and reasonably priced. Decor, space, location. the spacious rooms. we stayed in apartment 3 and found this room to our taste, it was very clean and spacious. the location was right on the royal mile, even though there was a lot of noise from the street below it was quite quiet in the lounge and you couldnt hear a thing from the bedroom. we had lovely hot weather during our stay so spent very little time in the apartment to make the most of the facilities.all reviews »
The ease of access to the edinburgh old town was great. The decor of the apartment was very in keeping with the surroundings. Having the fringe going on on the royal mile was great to watch from the very large windows within the apartment and we probably saw more from the windows than from the street. The apartments are very centrally located. It's great to also have a sepearte living area from the bedroom. The room design, the view, the supplies, everything!!. Excellent location, really clean superb accomodation. The indepencence of being able to do what we wanted. location, easyness to tourist sightseeing. the apartment was great. location, confort. Brilliant location right on the Royal Mile and handy for shops bars etc, lovely apartments and great base for exploring Edinburgh. Great rooms and, considering you're staying at the ever busy Royal Mile, pretty quiet. Home away from home.Location, room size, having our own space, facilities, luggage storage. friendly staff, great location, recommened. The location and spacious rooms. location and set-up of apt.Location. It was a lovely, large and extremely comfortable apartment. The decorwas lovely and it could not have been in a better position. We reallyenjoyed our stay.easy access to all amenities, clean spacious apartments. The Royal Mile Residence is a great location and the flats have great views of Edinburgh. All what has been mentioned in previous positive comments. Excellent staff. peaceful location, relaxing atmosphere. Great location yet quiet (if at back). location and view. I came with my family for a week vacation at the edinburgh festival. Dueto the reason that this is actually not a hotel but an apartmentbuilding, which has very steep stairs and no elevator, we have sufferedall week long from terrible inconvenience. There are no receptionserviceson site, the breakfast is served in a cafe in another street. This aprtment building is certainly not for families. Probably not suitable for a young family due to the steep stairs. The narrow spiral staircase was not a problem for us, but could be for some guests. The living area could be a bit chilly due to the latge windows overlooking the Royal Mile, but then we did visit in January. The bedroom, bathroom and hall were always very warm.at this price breacfast should be included but it was a very pleasant stay. different colour lightbulbs in the room. Maybe slightly overpriced if I have to be picky... The noisy neighbours next door, are the windows doubled glazed?. stairs. No lift and very steep stairs. We had to take our case up 3 flights of stairs and it was a very narrow, spiral staircase. as mentioned above, the stairs, we had no prior lnowledge of these and our apartment was at top of building, not good when you have problems with climbing stairs. The otherwise good apartment was seriously let down by the lack of a possibility to hang up one's coat or suit or shirts. it could do with a repaint on the doors and skirtings. Expensive (but was festival time ). 2nd night there was very loud music from apartment above - rang number of times and even though staff said they would sort it out, the music continued until whoever gave the party decided to stop the festivities - about 3 o'clock. Mentioned it to the staff when we paid - should not really have to pay full price if you do not get what you paid for - a night's rest. attic apartment - sloping ceilings. I made my booking at thr rate of £125 but when I made my check out theycharged me £150 for the room.. I tried to explain .. with no success !!.
