Everything about this place was great. It is student housing which gives you the feel of communal living with the option of having your own room if you want quiet time. My family and I loved it. Staff was wonderful, location was great and it was very clean. Another nice thing was the grocery store right around the corner, super handy. I would highly recommend this place.
These are student apartments, so quite basic but clean, modern and centrally located. The bed was comfortable with nice white cotton bed-linen. We stayed for 3 nights for the Festival and found it ideal to be so near everything + able to make tea etc.. in between shows!. all reviews »
Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything was clean, functional and looked like brandnew. Comfortable rooms with Broadband access. Location very close to city centre.
Accommodation was very central for everything. Staff very helpful. The apartments were clean and modern.

The staff was kind and helpful. We initially got an half broken bed, complained about it and got a new room straight away. On the last night they called a taxi for us, and since we were out of cash they specifically asked for one with the possibility of paying with the card, which we appreciated.
Nice clean room. Bed linen smelled freshly laundered and double bed was very comfortable. Good location not far from Grassmarket and Castle.

It was very basis, but clean. Beds were comfy. There was a sittun area
with a flat screen telly couch and bar stools. 2 huge fridge freezers
and cooker.

The address is not correct, Fountainbridge is e very busy street and therefore not easy and dangerous to stop and look for the correct location.
The double bed was way tooooooo narrow.

Mainly the value for money. The place was really, really basic, and we paid quite a lot for what it was. But we went during the Edimburgh festival so I guess that's why. Also, the place is really noisy. We were woken up every morning at 8 by slamming doors.

The accomodation did not have a kettle in the kitchen on arrival but this was later rectified.
Only one towel provided for two people in double room.
Too much noise from inconsiderate people, as the door closers needed adjustment every time people entered or left the building the doors slammed, no use for light sleepers.

I did not like the checking in. It took ages to get our keys. When they
did find them we went to our apartment to find out 3 rooms got the
wrong key.
Not being told at the booking time that what you called 'apartments" are in fact students room.

The price was shamefully high: what you get for 142 GBP (!) is a poorly equipped room in an apartment building, shared toilet and shower (where warm water was not functioning), possibly noisy neighbours (mine were shouting and they smashed with doors), no breakfast, and non-functioning internet. I consider it a shame.
Beds were old and needs renewed. Seating area very uncomfortable needs renewed.
Our mattress was terrible. The springs were all broken so spent 4 nights rolled together. The floors weren't clean, no rubbish bin in the room, not enough toilet paper in the shared bathroom.
Building was a renovation worksite and matress was just horrible.

The kitchen is very poor stored. There is nothing there if you want to cook.. Only one bad frying pan and one cooker. No spatula or can opener but according to staff this is something you have to provide yourself.. So basically everyone who stays there has to buy one each... Very wierd!!

Lack of basics, i.e. Bins in rooms, toaster, kettle, soap, bath mat, etc.
creaking doors, barely any utensils or cleaning products: not convenient for short-time stays. Only one bathroom shared per flat: can be dirty quickly.
No lift. I had 2.5 yr kid. Big big trouble. Was given room at 4th floor even I mentioned I had a kid. Staffs neither helped with the luggage nor was interested to rearrange the room to ground floor or 1st floor. Kitchen , rest room , toilet are shared with 6 more rooms. No intercom. You can not even talk to reception from 4th floor. Never recommend for family.

We coudn`t use the bathroom because of owerswimming!!!We told the staff about it but they didn´t care.
Incredibly uncomfortable beds and a lack of facilities ( no soap in bathrooms, no toaster, kettle or tea towel in kitchen). Poor value for money and much better places on offer in better locations.
Major health and safety issues.
Contractors working every day 8am to 4pm inside your room. Noise unbearable.
Drunk children making noise when returning home.
This walls, every door slammed and squeaks.
Windows dirty. No kitchen utilities like a fork or a bowl as advertised.
No ironing facilities as advertised. No city view as advertised.
Filthy room sticky floors trash everywhere.
Don't go there. Pay a bit more and keep your sanity.
Much to expansive for such a non-luxury room.
