Absolutely wonderful place to stay!!! We came with a 4 month old, and they could not have been more accommodating! It was raining and they even lent us umbrellas for the day. The room was wonderful, clean and the staff were beyond nice. I would recommend this place to stay for anyone visiting Edinburgh. Plus it's right in the middle of everything fun in the city!. Absolutely thrilled with this hotel. Location, Price, customer serviceand general atmosphere was more than I could have hoped for. We didhave one problem that when we first got our room it wasnt clean butthis was quickly rectified and we got a new room and a welcome pack.Only other problem was tv reception but I did not spend much timewatching tv anyway.all reviews »
Excellent location--right opposite the Playhouse theatre, and within easy walking distance of the centre. We arrived early, and the staff had no problem with us parking in their limited parking places. Great location which is within walking distance of all major attractions in Edinburgh. Very good value for money and of a higher standard than other hotels nearby with a similar star rating.the hotel was excellent value for money, right in the centre and the breakfast was of a very high standard. Nice clean room and friendly staff, we would stay there again.Location, continental breakfast included in rate,. Very clean and excellent location. hotel and room were very clean. Some of us oldies are not so good at getting down to that level (or back up again!). Continental breakfast is good and is on between 6.30 and 10.30 at weekends. Avoid going at around 10am, which seems to be the busiest time and there is nowhere near enough space for people to move in the self-service area when it is busy. Go early!. Breakfast tables were fully occupied upstairs and down. Husband useswalking stick and had great difficulty carrying tray to room. Had tomake 2 trips. 1 member of the reception staff seemed stressed and was short tempered, he did not want to explain why I needed to give my credit card twice and never gave me proof that £150 had not been deducted from my American Express. Breakfast was adequate rather than good - some ham or fish would improve the continental breakfast offering. Very bust at breakfast time!. Only complaint was the limited supply of tea in room.Breakfast - too early and too busy. somebody was running up and downt eh corridor during the night on the saturday night. Our bathroom was not very clean and had a very uncomfortable aroma. Front facing rooms can be quite noisy, particularly those at street level and at weekends.shortage of food and quality at breakfast eg orange juice as warer or concentrate. sofa bed not made ready for arrival despite having been requested reception staff were apologetic for the error. The bed and pillows very hard leading to a disruptive nights sleep. Clothing got covered in jam whilst having breakfast as jam on edge of table hadn't been wiped and I hadn't noticed when initially sat down.

A90, head for the City Centre, Princes Street East. You will be led onto Queen St. Hotel at far end, opposite Playhouse Theatre.
FROM SOUTH:
A702 or A720, head for City Centre East, Leith, then Princes Street East. Hotel at top of Leith Walk, near Picardy Place roundabout.
CAR PARKING
The hotel is located opposite the Playhouse Theatre. Guest car parking is located within Greenside NCP Multi-storey Car Park, located on Leith Street. Exit the car park on foot towards the Omni Centre and Playhouse Theatre. Cross over Leith Walk using the pedestrian crossing and the hotel entrance is adjacent to Hertz Rent a Car. Please note that there is only limited car parking at the hotel. For assistance required guests (must be orange badge holders or similar) and parking is on a first come, first served basis. From Union Street or Broughton Street, turn on to Broughton Street Lane (back lane). The hotel car park is located along the lane.
