I liked the location of the hotel, the friendly atmosphere and service, the well-appointed room, and the tasty breakfast. Covenient and free car parking; nice patio and garden area. Only stayed 1 night but enjoyed the quiet. pleasant atmosphere. It's position. Very good bed. Location.The location was fine for central Cambridge, the accomodation was comfortable, the staff extremely helpful and parking plentiful.

The entire hotel needs renovation and redecoration. The bedroom was both poky and shabby. A tap leaked. It was also substantially overpriced. I booked a twin room and on arrival there was none available. The staffhowever were good and able to source a separate room. Separate taps for cold and hot water. We thought that £12.95 per person for a breakfast is expensive when only a cereal and toast is required. A separate cost for Continental breakfast would be sensible.Some rooms possibly in need of a little refurbishment. The number of extra costs you might have to pay - £2.00 for taking a room key card home, £15.00 for handelling dirty underwear for the laundry! £5.00 for a credit card charge less than £5.00 A hotel charging this much a night shouldn't need to load extras on for normal service such as this.The bathroom wash hand basin was too high and the pop up waste was broken and jambed its self in the outlet. There was no mini bar or refrigerator. Cambridge is a very expensive place to stay - hotel rates reflected this. ... however this is hardly a compliment, if single room costs £130 pernight. Actually this was one of the very few hotels that was stillavailable in Cambridge for the particular dates. No price differential between Continental and English Breakfasts. the tv controls,to complicated. I thought it was rather expensive considering it was a room only basis. No electricity all evening and following morning!!!!!. Ridiculous priced room. Awful bathroom facilities.See above. Reception not particularly welcoming and staff too keen on taking telephone calls while guests were waiting to check in/out.
