  WOW!!! Barry and Andrea are made for the hotel business. Before we even stepped foot inside The Hurstmere, Barry was there with a lovely warm welcome. We were assisted with our luggage and advised on places to visit and eat(all advise was followed). Bar area is a child's heaven, with a large variety of toys for all ages. We stayed in rm 10(apparently the smallest double - Made welcome from the start- even helped to bring luggage in and taken stright to our room. Excellent hosts, whom even keep the teenagers entertined. Bar area excellent and pleanty full. Breakfast 5* and definitaly one for the big eaters. Would I return? Most defintaly. This lovely BnB out weighed any hotel we have ever stayed in, in Blackpool.   The hotel itself was great for the price. From arriving to a friendly welcome , to a great sea view in our double room we valued the kings as a very friendly and accommodating stay. Close to the promenade and an excellent location for a sunny walk on the front of blackpool. Getting about was easy as the tram stops are literally a 2 minute walk aw... what people say » ay! En suite rooms were handy and the breakfast as filling and offered how you like it , so any picky eaters will be thrilled ! Also free car parking - Myself and my partnrreally enjoyd our stay. We cae out of season and most places where closed but we werent too bothered because we only came for a night away. The hotel was very clean and the staff where very friendly and helpfull. Highly recomend

  We stayed in room 9 which was a little outhouse it was lovely and cosy. Modernised. And very quiet! We had a perfect nights sleep and only woke up to our alarm waking us for breakfast which we had a choice of time, 10am so we also got a nice lie in. Staff were very friendly welcoming and chatty.   It was turkey and tinsel week (we were unaware when we booked). Comfort was excellent, food was brilliant, table served and a different menu every day with a choice of 5 starters, main courses and deserts. Entertainment in the evening was great and got everyone involved. Also had coach trips included in the price to shopping venues and mecca bin... what people say » go. 95% of other residents were active pensioners. - The whole experience of staying at the Viking was wonderful, especiallythe fact that it is a 'child free' hotel and we had the freedom tosmoke in our hotel rooms that did not upset or offend other residents.It was also extremely quiet and peaceful.
