I loved the lighting and the set up of the rooms vey clean and welcoming. I love the walk in shower and bathroom set up. The bed was really comfortable and I slept like a baby. The breadkfast was really enjoyable and staff was very welcoming and helpful. I was happy that the wifi was free and easy to use. I spoke to my husband about the hotel and we would definitely come there for a short break by ourselves and with our family If you have any emails to send I would prefer it be sent to my perso.
all reviews » Very comfortable and quiet, but everything seems tied down as if it is a venue for stag and hen parties, so there is a shortage of essentials like shower caps/etc and poor offerings of Teas and coffees in the bedroom. No minibar. Lack of luxury in the bar area and at breakfast and all drinks served were lukewarm. Suitable for business and a one night stay but would have been disappointed if on holiday. Not as clean as it could be, in this bracket the bathrooms and floors should be immaculate. B. Loved our stay at this hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, check in was quick and easy, room was lovely, comfy and clean had everything that you would need for a nice night! Location is good for clubbing however i was shopping and its about a 10-15 minute walk to the centre, however this wasn't a problem for us! Really enjoyed our breakfast there was a good selection and it was all lovely!! car park is really handy and fairly priced all in all a great hotel.. will definitely recommend and s. Staff were very polite and more than helpful - I had booked a disabled room in error, the young lady at the reception changed this straight away - Thank you. The room was very spacious and more than comfortable. The bathroom was fantastic ( I wanted to take it home with me!). Although we had to leave early we could have checked out at 12.00 (next time). The rooms were clean and modern bathrooms were new and the shower was fab. Breakfast was all self service with modern Ikea like cups plates etc. The food at breakfast was more than adequate and loved the hot drinks dispenser for the hot chocolate.Hate to say this but very good value for money and we will be back. Very accommodating. On check in we asked for our group to be put into rooms next to one another and the Manager was able to do this without any problems whatsoever. We were in rooms on the 17th floor with lovely views of Birmingham. Very clean. Great complimentary breakfast included in room rate. Tea/coffee making facilities, toiletries, 32-inch tv included. All the amenities you would expect in a 4 star hotel all for under £60 per room per night!. I decided to take a spur of the moment shopping trip to Birmingham over the weekend an so booked Into this hotel. I was a solo traveller and felt more than welcome by all members off staff. I stayed in the bar where met other people staying over and had a wonderful evening. The hotel was clean and pleasant, the staff inviting and it wasn't too far from the shops. The Hampton was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was new and sparkling clean. I was afraid the breakfast would be disappointing as it came in the price, but I was pleasantly surprised at the choice available. So handy for a lovely range of restaurants near the canal nearby and with a cinema one minute away and a nearby theatre we had lots of choice in the evenings. Great value for money. I was surprised to read some of the other nit-picking reviews posted here. I found this hotel to be quite excellent. It is very contemporary inside, the rooms are very clean and well furnished. The staff were very friendly and as our party had to leave early, having (the included) breakfast from 6am is a real bonus. I have stayed in much more expensive hotels that aren't a patch on this. Very recommended...!. Your waitstaff was supherb especially Charlotte who not only gave us great service but also searched out a pub that we wanted to visit and printed info from the internet for us. She also gave us a card and a small gift before we left the hotel We were so complimented by her generosity. Also Agnes the cleaning staff person was extremely warm and caring for us and our needs, Carol Husted and Linda McClooud. Great value hotel,good location just like to say you are losing a lot of cark park revenue you could be getting as people dont know how to find it on arrival it would be good for you to supply a small direction map on booking when we where there 3 partys of people had parked elsewhere as they didnt know where the carpark was at £10 per car that could be costing you £50k per year in lost revenue. The room was very clean. I loved the design. My partner thought the gym was ok even though I did not get the chance to use the facilities. I hope i will next time I am in Birmingham. So was the location. Every thing excellent, practical and all one could possibly require for a 2 night stay. Hotel evening meal for type of accommodation good. Plenty other choices nearby. Excellent parking and within walking distance of all central attractions. Had an excellent deal on this stay, at the "rack" rate would have been a little disappointed in the facilities lounge and restaurant etc. I liked everything. We paid £10.00 for twenty four hours this meant we could go shopping in the centre the next day[approx ten minute walk from the hotel] and return back to the hotel to pay the £10-00 for the 24hours before heading home. location was very good, lovely furnishings, facilities excellent, spotless, rooms wonderful, high quality bed linen and bathroom toiletries provided. Somebody rang our hotel phone asking for directions obviously meaning to get through to main reception but wasn't anything major!. Nothing - Keep up the good work and do not lose the good work that has been achieved with this hotel!. nothing. Only 2 lifts to all floors meant that you were waiting a while for it to come to your floor, we were discouraged to use the stairs as we were on the 17th floor! Cost of parking was £10 for 24 hours. This seemed a little expensive as we saw public carparks nearby charging between £3 and £4 per 24 hours. Nothing. A bit of a walk from the train station and close to several gentlemen's clubs and nightclubs. Having said that we weren't bothered by noise or unsociable behaviour. Nothing. Not a thing !. 10/10 delivers what it promises great breakfast John and Pauline Coombes. Loved the bathroom sliding door but the obscured glass emits too much light into the bedroom. Not good when my partner got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. The shower tray filled with water, so this meant a problem with the overflow. Plus the water from the shower head overflowed from around the edge and the rim. nothing all as expected city centre at price. The area around the hotel isn't the most reassuring particularly for a single female, but the hotel has very good security and I can't recommend it highly enough for a business trip. Lifts sometimes a bit slow. N/a. The hotel was much further than I thought and all the way there was a bit "mixed one", so we got lost when we arrived by feet. But anyway taxi wasn't expensive to go back to the station. There were no photo about the hotel from outside in Booking sites, so you hardly could noticed the door. It's really high building. Only 2 lifts in the hotel which meant quite a wait for 1 of them in the mornings. Car Park was tight and very busy. Restaurant was on the small side for the number of people having breakfast although the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The car park was limited and added to the overall cost. One minor observation. I assumed the rooms thermostatic controls only needed adjusting for the system to work. After about 15 minutes, after further inspection, I realised that you have to manually initiate it (press a button). Once switched on it was fine. Maybe we just don't use hotels enough!. The cost of the drinks at the bar. £12 for a pint and a nondescript glass of wine!. We did not notice any signs directing us to hotel carpark and felt fortunate to spot a motorist ahead of us turning right into what led to the carpark. The only let down for this hotel whilst I was staying there was the time spent in the lift,the lifts are fast but always full and stop at every loor when there's noone waiting.Unfortunately there was one lift out of order at the time so maybe there isn't always this problem but overheard multiple people complaining of same problem. It was all a little chaotic on arrival as there was a conference on and everyone seemed to arrive at the same time, so check in was busy and the lifts took a while, but not much can be done when this happens I guess. Staff coped well. There was nothing that I'd change for a hotel in that price range. It was fantastic!. I now know I haven't, but this is not very clear and causes confusion. difficult getting from the car park to the lift with my mobility scooter and a case no automatic doors, I didn't see if there was an intercom to let reception know I was there so someone could help, otherwise this is a great hotel. There was nothing that we didn't like!. The coffee is terrible, automated machine, they could improve on that area for sure. Parking is free, good touch, but the comm doesn't work very well and we had to get out of the car, go the the other gate and use a buzzer so the reception could open it for us. Nothing worth mentioning. No fried eggs or tomatoes for breakfast. Self-service breakfast was a bit of a scramble, though there was a wide choice. More staff needed for Sunday morning checking out. Lifts a little confusing!. Mattress was a little firmer than we are used to but not overly so. There was a noisy pipe that sounded like water refilling in our room that went on all throught the night, woke up a couple of times to it but no major problem. Checking out was a drawn out affair with errors on the bill and one item being charged twice. Also, maybe due to the size of the hotel there were some issues regarding our rooms being mistaken for other customers rooms. One lift was out of service and this did cause delays at the busier times. The lifts are abit of a nightmare ie it goes past you when you have called it. Doesnt always stop on the floor you requested and a bit of a pain trying access the exit on the ground floor when the hotel is busy. The staff were not fully aware about the refund policy. I really had to struggle to get my refund as I checked out one night earlier. Secondly they didn't provide me the VAT form (actually they should) otherwise I might get the VAT refund which was almost 20%. I would never stay here again at the weekend was way to noisy. Nightclub was right under my room and it was vibrating that much I might aswel have went to it.
