I arrived early and we were able to check in early at short notice, I also liked the fact that breakfast was served until 11:30 and check out wasn't until 12:00, it meant we weren't rushing around in the morning. The room was large enough for a family of four (in two double beds), was clean and quiet. The hotel was within a short walking distance to a large number of restaurants.all reviews »
i particularly liked the way the staff were so helpful, my daughter needed something not on the menu and they were prepared to get it for her. Friendly staff , clean rooms, comfortable beds and a tasty breakfastincluded in the price. What more could anyone want!. Location, price and facilities - price included buffet style cooked AND continental breakfast and FREE parking on site!. Fiendly, efficient and courteous staff. Private car parking and location of hotel. Comfortable acommodation. No bath, only shower. maybe some biscuits with the tea making facilities.no water in vending machine. i booked by credit card but wished to pay cash on arrival but was refused as i need a passport which i didnt have with me to confirm my identity so ihad to pay by card. under ground car park enterance. My only complaint was the film left on the dishes from the dishwasher. Not really, except perhaps the fact that the hotel bar was closed relatively early for New Year's Eve. Some family members went down around 10.30 p.m. and everything was closed, so they had to find a location elsewhere to ring in the New Year. However, perhaps this is standard hotel practice in Northern Ireland. Getting into the car park. I am not the best of drivers and found the ramp very nerve wrecking getting in and out. Even if they offered a valet service to park your car (then you wouldn't even know about it). Also I had two young children and would have preferred a room with a bath. The shower in my room kept going from hot to cold and I was frightened to let them use it.The bed squeaked... a bit offputting... My room was connected to another room by a door. A couple occupied theroom next to me. I was able to hear every single word they spoke, andthey weren't overly loud. Thus, privacy was lacking.The entry key/card for our door was quite uncooperative - sometimes it took 6-8 trys to get in. However, this is a minor point. cleaning under beds could be improved.would like to join a reward scheme with your hotel,but was not asked. i was further away from middle of town then expected....stated 5 mins from city however it was longer. not many maps available in lobby and tourist info not very useful. The Breakfast Bar was great food, but the way it is laid out, very confusing. Had to go back loads of times to find what I needed. though the reception area was too open every thing ran into each other would like bar seperated from dining and reception .decor could do with aface lift. The weather was very cold during our stay - an extra blanket would have helped. Pillows were rather flat. Closed drawers to keep one's personal clothes and items would help if hotel rooms were to be improved on. Thank you for asking.The decor could perhaps be updated but for the price the standard was quite good. We asked for a smoking room and got one but it did smell a bit next time I'd book a non smoking room. It was hard to find with on signs even when very close. The parking was also tight.
