i have stayed in a lot of hotels in aberdeen and after staying at the carmelite twice would not go anywhere elese. We did not get into room on time so we were upgraded and the room was excellent. The decor of the room made me feel at home and the staff were very attentive. Lovely hotel, relaxing atmosphere, food excellent, staff friendlyand helpful. The hotel was beautiful inside I will definitely be using it next time.

Big bathroom. The location was brilliant for city centre. It was so busy with christmas nights out etc and we could not hear any noise from our room. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a weekend stay. The food was fantastic and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was fantastic value for money and i will definitley stay there again. I have already recommended this hotel to friends. For the money (weekend rate £49 single), this is the best hotel I've stayed at in Britain!! I didn't have an evening meal but the menu looking held some promise.Nice hotel, excellent value for money, extremely central location, 2 min walking distance from airport buses, 5 min walk from virtually anything else. well trained stuff, quick service, good environment, right at the city centre, fine restaurant. It was a very good choice.When we arrived we were upgraded to a nicer room than on our previous stay at the hotel. reception area good for meeting people informally with plenty of staff to order drinks. I thought our evening meal could have been alot better.air con units very noisy on middle night of three night stay, staff very helpful and moved rooms, we were offered an upgrade for last night. As it is central the area is a bit noisy at the weekend. I was on the third floor at the back, there was no double glazing and a lot of noise from the street below from revellers and bins of bottles being emptied. The quality og the breakfast. Temperature too hot. poor choice of TV channels. Difficulty parking. At 0830 in the morning they had run out of mushrooms and bacon for the cooked breakfast!!. the shower was far from adequate,however it was repaired. our room overlooked a back road and there was a lot of noise (shouting and cars being parked) throughout the night. That I ended up in one of the unrefurbished rooms, albeit quite ok. Smell of damp in the hallway on 2nd floor. The bathroom could have done with some updating. Having soap dispensersnext to the shower - but not accessible if you want to use the bathwithout getting up and down out of the water was very irritating!. The design of the room I stayed in. Water wasn't working in the morning and due to no parking being available had to be constantly in and out paying the machine(although this is no fault of the hotel due to its central location).No useable mirror in the room - no tea/coffee in the room. The heating definitely needs upgrading. It did not work at all in my first room, and made a lot of noise for a short moment at night in the second.Nothing to do with the Hotel, the "Sugar Frosties" (Prostitites) that welcomed you on your return from a good drink in town. shower and toilet in separate rooms. No car parking.
