We're very glad to have found this hotel, not only for it's superb ottoman style room, but also for the warm welcome and family like atmosphere with the owner Mr Kaya. Being a first time visit for us, location is perfect and you can just walk to most of the main attractions. Mr Kaya being a veteran tourist guide, has helped us as well and if you're visiting istanbul, dont forget to ask for few tips to make the most if you trip. Loved to come again!.
all reviews » I really liked the people who are working there, they are really kind and helpful which is very important. Furthermore, I just loved the inside decoration of the hotel, it was very different and pretty, especially the bathroom. Also the hotel is located on a perfect place, right behind the Blue mosque so you have perfect access to transportation. We stayed at Sultan Kösesi for a week in the beginning of May 2013. Small, cosy hotel with beautiful rooms. Very close to tram station & historical attractions. Helpful, friendly and kind staff. They make you feel like you would live in family house not hotel :). And, of course, excellent food in a'la carte restaurant. Kaja & Ingrid. Great location. Great price. Friendly owner who offered to give us free breakfast after finding out our bags were lost. Bring ear plugs for call to prayer, literally sounds like a loud speaker into your room. It was oversold, to call (in general) the rooms: spacious suites, is a major overstatement. When I complained I was given room #1 (for an extra price) that indeed was spacious, but my initial room that only contained a double bed with walking space around it (plus bathroom), was in my humble opinion definitely not spacious. The room are little bit noisy .... They need to put a proper sign for the hotel as there isn't any it's just the sign of the restaurant .... No one was readily available to help or facilitate. I will not recommend to any family or couples with luggage.
