I stayed for three nights and liked it very much. In combination with the price of 30e/night, I'm even giving it 5 stars (though for that money, naturally you're not getting one of the "private pool" suites but their smallest, still very comfortable double room.) It can happen that you get a room in one of the buildings up the steep mountain slope though (I diddn't). The upside is a great view, the downside is: stairs. I think it would be a small, but valuable improvement if the hotel manager s.

We had a great week in this resort and we really recommend this hotel to everybody!. We had a pool villa with nice views across the bay altho not a lot of sun on our balcony. Very spacious room and bathroom. We had a lovely candlelite dinner on the beach one evening with entertainment from the fire performers - gr8. Also nice to have a choice of other restaurants just a stroll along the beach. The ocean, views the swimming pools, the staff's friendliness, the food, the travel information, ticketing and taxi services, the quality of the toiletries and items supplied in the room, the drying rack for wet swimmers, the little touches like flowers on the freshly made up beds and the relaxing atmosphere!. - We were upgraded to a better room as we were on our honeymoon. - The swimming pool - Proximity to the beach - Location - Food in the restaurant, although a but pricey - Fantastic and friendly staff. We loved it! After busy full moon, relaxing in Salad buri, Great private beach and pool and the room was soooo nice! Very good price/quality.Also a nice SPA and good food!. What a great place. The beach area in front of Salad Buri is not that gr8 however just walk along the beach a little further and its a little better. No option to save water or resources by not have fresh towels and sheets every day. - The room we got upgraded to was a better class, however the smell from the bathroom drain was awful. It did go away after few days (perhaps it was not used for some time), but made a bad impression on us when we entered the room. I didn't stay for long enough!. Wish that the hotel would offer more options for breakfast. very smelly lobby. poor internet. shallow and stony entrance to the sea. had to go 300 meters along the beach to a sandy place to swim. very modest breakfast. Too much chlorine in the swimming pool. Not many shops arround. Due to the way the resort is built - a lot of the apartments are quite high up. Initially my apartment was right at the top of the hill (although brilliant view!). The next day I changed to one that was lower down – but still a bit of a climb. Having said that – the hotel does offer a golf buggy service up to your apartment – although it might stop after 10.30 pm. it was a bit strange that you had to pay each night and couldn't put the bill on the room and pay when you check out. Spa bath not a jaccuzi just a bath. Too many steps to climb to the upper room. The food at the restaurant is really expensive but it's possible to walk on the beach to find nice and cheap (normal Thai prices) places. Staff was just ok (except at the restaurant where they were nice). Room was not cleaned properly, the beach is a bit grotty, pools were a bit dirty. The doors of my room were 2 bi fold, glass doors!? Not really doors for private room, rather unpleasant!. Unfortunately the hotel didn't pay any attention to our honeymoon! The hotel offers a hoteltaxi from to the pier to the hotel and from the hotel to the pier, but charges you each way per person 150 Baht. That's a thing but the hotel taxi driver drives as a maniac, really unsafe and totally not worth!. There was a hot tub yes but no hot water to fill it and enjoy it!! Very disappointed because we booked it specially for that extra. The hotel staff was not friendly and not under standing. Only one that spoke English. All others don't speak a word of English!! Also the restaurant was awfull. Manager of the hotel was really bad also. We even asked for refund of the meals because we didn't eat it, not good at all. The hotel is still under construction(nov 2013). Is not possible go from the swiming pool to the "beach" without shoes. The beach has many stones. Relax in the swiming pool is not posible with the workers from 8am to 16pm. It doesn't feel like a resort. The room and bed smell old. In my opinion this hotel deserves only 2 stars.
