The hotel is well located on a comparatively quite and calm stretch of Pattaya's chaotic beach road. But still within walking distance to all the action or a 2 minute drive to anywhere along beach road on the THB 20 mini bus service that runs along Beach and 2nd Road. Though I did not book a sea view room, the hotel was kind enough to upgrade me to one free of cost. A gesture that would surely draw me back to book this hotel whenever I plan visit Pattaya again.
all reviews » very hard to say anything bad about this hotel, situated on beach road it's got great sea views (just across the road). far enough away from the entertainment area so it was quiet but a 5 minute walk to bigC shopping centre and a 20 minute walk along the beach to walking street, tuktuks going past the front gate will take you there for 10baht. ther rooms are large and fresh and bed very comfortable. staff very friendly and helpfull. The location is great, just across the road to the beach and away from the sleaze, most of the staff are nice and friendly, the vibe was relaxing, the pool area was good for us, it was a very relaxing holiday for us, we have stopped going to Bangkok as this is more convenient and reasonably painless to get to the airport, the wifi was good. the location is very near to Central Pataya. We can go around by tuktuk or walk. My room is sea view, so was nice to see the sun set and sun shining only from balcony. The beach in front of the hotel, so my children can go to the beach whenever, even at the early morning. The location is good; easy and fast excess to shopping & entertainment. Rooms are clean, but have seen better days. most things are ok nice clean room and nice sea view brakefast ok staff help full. Great breakfast. The staff at the breakfast area could have been more courteous. our room was supposed to have separate lounge dining but was all in the same room, not good for me as I work while my wife sleeps. breakfast was good but could do with orange juice. I didn't like the fact that I requested the pool side and was given the noisy side near construction, we have been here before, the receptionist on duty gave me a story and blamed letsbookhotel.com they charged us extra to move to the pool side, they should have contacted us earlier but my guess is they didn't read the email, also my wife got food poisoning from the breakfast the first morning, she spent an uncomfortable day on the loo, don't eat the beans or the re-heated food!. when we had braekfast at hotel 's restourant there was one or more fly that flied over our table. the water in the shower flew slow and we had waited some minutes for enough warm temperature ofvwater for showe.bathroom looked like needing renovation. Sandalay was very nice, I have no complaints!. less parking lot. Bit far away from Entertainment. verybad wi fi. We don't like breakfast because of the staff, they were unfriendly. Anyway, we were surprised that they didn't reflect hospitality of Thai people. The construction view from the panoramic window, not very clean sofa near the window without any blanket. The Sandalay and the neighbor building were under renovation, but the disturbance & noise was bearably. The staff has been friendly, but not always very helpful; more formal, but correct. The Sandaly is overpriced, the breakfast substantial, but altogether it appears to me a bit like a youth hostel. there is a little biulding noise on one side of the hotel next door hotel is getting a re-fit but staff move us to the other side with now problem. We found cockroach in the 2rd we stay..... Tiny room with a 1 sqm "balcony", one towel but 10 preservatives to choose from. Well, this is Pattaya..
