It's almost the best option if you're looking for one night stay near suvarnabhumi airport - it will take you 15 minutes and around 70 baht to get to international departures by taxi. Do not expect fancy stay, but it will certainly do its job as a near-airport stay. Staff is above expectations - available 24 hrs a day, arranges a meter taxi with no problem and speaks english :). Very happily surprised, couldn't have expected more for the price and a stones throw from the airport.
all reviews » Remember that tht yha is situated far away from the shopping centers, so they can cook local food for you, they have drinks available, washing clothes service, staff in the reception 24 hours a day. It is near to the airport which is convenient for an early departure. Seeing birds from the window in the morning was a nice way to start the day. - Convenient location for people with flights arriving late at night or departing early in the morning - Clean facilities. It was all we expected. cheap, sober, clean and very close to the airport. Friendly and helpfull personel. Location for airport, friendly staff. Even for experienced taxi drivers, as it was in our case. The restaurant could have more food options, not a big deal though. The yha is inside of a private area with security people in the main entrance, but in some of the streets, inside of the area, there are always Thai dogs grambling, so be aware of children. It was difficult to find,particularly in the evening and with it being inside a gated street. - Not much to do or see around the hostel - A little bit expensive considering what one can get for the same price in other hostels in Thailand. Very uncomfy bed/bedding, very basic for the price compared to hostels in the city. Our room was more like a prison cell. Pure concrete on the floor, size of room just for a double bed to fit in... the only two windows lead to the neighbours' room and to the hall. Toilet and shower in the hall. They don't want to accept credit cards even though it is said they are accepted at their website. Take some food for your stay in this place... you won't get any near here. Just avoid it if you can. The beds were like laying on concrete. The floors were concrete. check in time says 1pm, we turned up at 1:45 and were greeted by someone who I believe was the housekeeper. needless to say she couldn't speak English or check us in so we were left waiting. after an hour I managed to get her to ring someone, and she replied 'person at airport'. fair enough, they'll be here soon I thought. I was wrong. I waited til 4:45pm (3hrs) before getting a taxi to somewhere else, like I should've done in the first place... old ,dusty and need repair. noisyas close to airport runway ! pls stop this kind of shop. no airport pick up even i stated in my booking nor a reply.
