The indoor pool, heated jacuzzis and the steam and sauna rooms were really great! Could have spent a whole day there. Also, the complimentary afternoon tea-time snacks were so similar to St. Regis hotel in Singapore - free flow of juices and tasty exotic-looking cake. The breakfast was very elaborated and the best across Europe - it has champagne too! The views from the lobby, hotel room and restaurant etc were magnificent.

The hotel itself was modern but has also retained an old world charm that help create a comfortable feeling while enjoying the public spaces. I did not really enjoy the bed and find the furnishings in the room rather old and tired-looking and the room was rather dark. The toilet was quite small considered the room was really spacious. Everything was great - no negatives to comment on. Icy sloping road between Hotel and Bus stop, but roads were similar all around town. Nothing. That we cannot go there more often and stay longer !. Inconsistancy with the measure of a glass of wine, favouring on the meager side ie : it appeared to be a 'taster' measure only. It was very nice though. Nothing. Possibly a little more flexibilty with regard to menues for children eating with parents in the evenings. The weather. Distance to the train station is slightly further than expected. A little on the pricey side, but thought overall it was worth it.

The village of Zermatt is a car-free zone. - You can park your car at the Schaller car park in Täsch (indoor and outdoor parking) and take a Schaller taxi to Zermatt village entrance, where the hotel porter will pick you up with the electric car. or - Park your car at the Matterhorn Terminal in Täsch (indoor parking only) and take the shuttle train to Zermatt. Phone the hotel from the Täsch station (dial 112) and the porter will pick you up from Zermatt station.
