The hotel is a great find and deal in pricey Zermatt. Even though the rooms were sort of "petit" (not a negative for a couple) the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The staff was extremely helpful and nice in every way. The view of the Matterhorn from the terrace was a nice bonus! Would definitely recommend to couples looking for a good deal in Zermatt. We arrived at 11pm in the night and called the hotel earlier about late check-in demand. They told me the security code for main entrance and left me a lovely envelope inside. The hotel rooms are very cosy and clean and the hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel is well located and breakfast is good. In addition, it was a terrace where you can have a beautiful view of Zermatt. Excellent value for the money, hotel was rated 2 star but was much better than a typical 2 star. Our one issue was that the hotel is located around 2 or 3 schools, and the school chirldren frequently play in the street during recess and before/after school. Wasn't a problem for us, but if you are a light sleeper, you might wake up to the sound of screaming/playing children on weekday mornings.The AC was being worked on during the visit and someone had not shut the balcony door just prior to us which had let some rain in. Only minor inconvienences. no phone in room.Room is very small. Room was small.difficult to find initially. No problems. very small room (what else with a name like this). the bells, however they stopped at midnight. pleae put internet in ht room...Flannel sheets. The room was fairly small but adequate.I think the price was high compared to standard (2 stars).
