We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Michael was fantastic ever willing to help in planning our day trips. Always with a cheerful smile. This is a family run hotel and I must say that it is the best hotel within the star rating that it has. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend anyone travelling to Switzerland looking for good accomodation, location and staff life Michael not to miss this one.
all reviews » The staff at the hotel are lovely and are helpful with directions and ideas of what to do in the area. They were able to tell us down to the bus times what we should see which was excellent as we only had two nights there. The hotel is also in a great location for easy transport to Interlaken West and Ost train stations and many restaurants. The room was also a nice size - not too cramped.Hotel Toscana is very well placed in Interlaken, a stone throw away from Interlaken West and 15 mins walk from Interlaken OST, The hotel gave us a free bus card to commute between the station and the hotel. The Hotel is family owned and Mr. Michael the person who runs the hotel went out of his way to help us. He made sure all over bookings for various treks and Jungfrau. Friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is centrally located, at the pedestrian area, in which trainstations, restaurants and shops are just at walking distance. The staffwith multi language is remarkably friendly and helpful and havedemonstrated full support. They have recommended daily trips and bestattractions at that region and explained the details of each trip. Excellent, one will feel at home here. The Hosts are very kind and caring and give the best attention and advice (when asked for).The helpfulness of the owners and staff. The position and the outlook. Very nice family-run hotel with nice people, good value of money and the room are clean and of good sizes.... definitely will stay here next time when i come to interlaken.... 7mins walk from Interlaken west station. Helped a lot all around.Comfortable rooms, good location, friendly staff. The owners and manager , especially Madam Del Grasso; she helped my wife with some queries on baggage transfer. And the manager; Mr Micheal Del Grasso who went out his way to assist us in our queries and requests. Micheal is very knowledgeable and customer oriented. Very polite and makes you feel at home. Good central location close to train stations. Very helpful at the reception. central location. The owner is an asset, Quite Helpful and Knowledgable. 7 minutes walk to the station. Family owners taking a pride in their business, son in particular very helpful with local information. No negatives at all. All the way with pluses.We had booked a standard double however again it was two singles pushed together - which is not ideal although starting to think it's the european way!. single mattresses on a double bed. Mattresses were very firm - maybe an idea to keep a range of mattresstoppers to offer additional comfort. Breakfast was a bit slim and closed early,. The mattresses are a bit uncomfortable, can do with new ones. Perhaps maybe just our room's?? Plus, we are Muslims, we like to see the hotel create more Muslim edible meat Dishes. Interlaken has vast amounts or Muslim and Arab visitors. They can smartly cash in on this !. The Breakfast is basic but acceptable, not clear how you get Tea! The breakfast room would not be big enough to cater for large quantaties of people breakfasting at the same time.one thing, not controlled parking. Some fruit for breakfast would have been welcome. Quality of the sofa cum bed. Breakfast was basic as the food on offer was was inferior quality (watery orange juice,lidyl style breakfast cereal, etc). Host meant well but was a bit gruff. Could have better matresses. Very small rooms. Room carpet badly stained. Female attendant at breakfast needs a basic lesson in the service culture that everybody else that we came across in Switzerland seems to display as second nature.

We are only 7 and 15min by foot from the West and East train station and port respectively.

Travelling information

Motorway exit Interlaken East. Turn Right, always straightforward (on your Right side you can see the Höhematte/green meadows). Turn at the first light right, after the first house on your right turn right again. Now you arrived at the parking place behind the hotel.
Hotel access directions by public transport:
Take the bus No 5 until the Zentralplatz (centre Square) from the West train station. Cross the zebra strip (in the direction of the bus), right until the first side street (approx. 10 m) then turn left. The hotel is at the end of this side street.
Take the bus until the Hotel Metropole from the train station. There, cross the street and walk approx. 150m (in the direction of the bus) until the pedestrian zone. There, turn left and after approx. 30m you will find our Hotel.
