Small-scale, warm and homely feel, personal attention of staff, very central location (2 minutes walk from central station and trams), afternoon tea/coffee and legendary cake-of-the-day in the lounge! Historic decor, excellent breakfast buffet included. Exceptional hotel, the hotel staff were very helpful and service was excellent. Hotel rooms are modern, very comfortable, roomy and very clean. We were also able to have a late checkout for a late afternoon flight. Will definately be back again.

As a woman travelling alone on business, I felt very comfortable, not like the usual male oriented corporate experience. 1. Location is near the train station. 2. Do not rely on your gps for directions. Ours led us ontothe tram-way going the wrong direction etc. No minibar. Could only see a parking building wall from the windows.close to a parking garage. No bar or fridgobar in the rooms. There were no minibar nor a safe in the room. very small bathroom.

The hotel has 82 rooms on 4 floors that have been individually decorated. We have both single and double rooms.

Some of the rooms have a bigger bed and are more spacious. We call them superior rooms.

The hotel also have some octagonal double rooms! Those rooms we call Superior Special.

Our hotel is a non smoking facility.

Important information to guests

Hotel Royal requires that the credit card holder’s name matches the guest’s name on the booking confirmation. The property may also request a copy of photo ID. If you wish to book for another individual, please contact the property directly for further information after booking.

Information about the area

The Horticultural gardens, named Trädgårdsföreningen, are only 300 yards away and provides a green oasis that includes a rosarium complete with café and marvellous rose garden.

Hotel Royal has 80 individually decorated rooms, both singles and doubles located on 4 floors.

All rooms have parquetry flooring and most still retain the original stucco work.
Superior rooms are more spacious and contain a larger bed, while the Superior Special rooms are octagonal double rooms.

Travelling information

From the Central station:
You have the central station building on your right side.
Drive towards P-Hus Ö.Nordstaden .
Make a U-turn at the crossing by the P-Hus Nordstaden.
Drive the street down towards P-Hus city. Keep straight!
Drive on between old gray building with sign "Rederi AB Göta Kanal" and the yellow building with the shop "Andreassons Päls".
Hotel Royal is straight ahead on the corner.

From road 40 Borås and Landvetter Aiport:
Drive towards E6 Oslo, Centrum. Follow Centrum, Ullevi. Leave the highway at the sign Centrum, Gårda, Ullevi.
After crossing over the highway on the bridge, drive straight and pass Ullevi stadium. Keep on driving straight, after Ullevi on your left, a canal is on your right. Follow sign Brunnsparken and drive straight over the little bridge.
Follow the small sign P-Hus City and turn left after the bridge. Follow the canal and drive into the street Lilla Drottninggatan sign P-Hus city.
If you would like to get to our entrance turn right around the next corner.
If you prefer to park first drive into the parking garage. Our entrance is just around the corner.
