The hotel was very central. We used the Metro from the airport and the Metro stop was outside the front door. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. We were there for a special ocassion and were given a room on the top floor with agreat view of the city. The hotel also supplied a free bottle of champagne to us. The hotel was excellent. The location was central and within walking distance to all the places of interest.

The location of the hotel is excellent very central for exploring the city centre on foot and witha metro station just outside the hotel for people who don't wish to walk. During the booking, I mentionned this trip was our wedding anniversary celebration and they made our stay very special, we got upgraded to the top floor suite, with champagne, fruits and free mini-bar. Although very well sound proofed you still can hear the police cars on Gran Via which would be the same for any other hotel on this main road. Check-in and check-out takes far too long but this seems to be a spanish thing and not just particular to this hotel. At the Senator Gran Via Hotel I was offered small dirty room, which has nothing to do to advertised picture on your website, but it was easy to switch for a good one at different location.Nothing except quite noisy from outside in one night but was understandable as Spain was won a place in UEFA semi-final. staff at breakfast where unrfiendly and not much choice of food. the staff could have smiled a bit more,some of them were very miserable!.
