I liked that this hostel is located straight in the very heart of Madrid, it is not very expensive, the scinery out of the window is very beautifull on the buildings of the city, personally I like it. The rooms are cleaned every day, the stuff is very friendly .There is a central heating and it was warm in february. You can buy water inside. Not noisy. The hotel is situated in the centre of Madrid, so for who’s interested to spend some days in the city the hotel is perfect. The staff is extremely polite and helpful, so I was there with my 6 months old daughter and during day and night they helped me when I needed to heat milk, etc….
all reviews » Location couldn't be better - right in the heart of the tourist areas and perfectly positioned for the best shopping in Madrid. 400m down the hill to Sol and right outside Grand Via metro station. Excellent location (within walking distance of the major tourist attractions, with a metro station right in front); very helpful staff; great value for money. Everything i have stayed there before and really enjoyed my stay there, and will definatley return there in the near future. I love the location..Close to everything.. Restaurants, museums and transportation... Nice people at the desk... the best location ever! city center, all sights are available on foot. german and english speaking personal. I would like a launry service at the hotel and a cafe inside. The hotel doesn't have a parking and the price of the closest parking is little bit higher comparing the price indicated (31€ per days). Rooms at the front of the hotel are a little noisy as the street is busy at every hour of the day - ask for a room without a view if noise affects your sleep!. The safe in the room requires a 1€-coin per use, so make sure you put in everything you want to store upon your arrival, as multiple openings will cost you. Larger bathtub would be nice... Central heating system was a huge turn-off. Room temperature is regulated poorly since hostel is situated on one of the popular streets, could not open window. Room was small and smelled of cigarette smoke even though we requested non-smoking. Bed was old and uncomfortable, you could feel the springs in your back! Staff on reception couldnt speak english so we couldnt ask questions about the city. No tea or coffee making facilities. Street noise on a Friday night. the staff of hotel. Lack of wifi in the rooms on the 5th floor. Despite there being a strong signal the log in wouldn't work and reception wouldn't do anything about it. The rooms on the 5th floor are claustrophobic.
