The hotel was very modern and unique. Our room wasn't very large but it looked super cool and we loved the design. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is actually great! Just a few steps away from La Rambla and a 15 minute walk from the beach. The hotel is close to metro as well!. The staff were extremely nice, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was cosy. I like the lounge areas downstairs. I was able to relax while I waited to be checked in. This is my second time in the hotel. It's also near the Harbour. Very convenient for people going on cruises. It is also central.
all reviews » The Acta Mimic is in a excellent location, just a couple of minutes from a metro station , and about five minutes from La Rambla, found the staff to be very helpful and friendly . the hotel is very clean and room was cleaned every day. The bar on the hotel roof is worth a visit. Innovative design with practical room layouts making the best use of space. Super bathrooms and super breakfast and bar area with great baggage storage for late leavers. Interesting dark corridors to echo the theatre image. Staff were really friendly always there to help when needed. Housekeeping was excellent done daily. Bar and Restaurant were very good and relaxing surroundings. 5 mins walk to la rambla and marina. Would highly recommend. small boutique hotel very well located just off the rambla. room was a bit small, but comfortable and clean and quiet. I would definitely stay again on a short break, but not a long stay. Location - close enough to La Rambla and Cruise ship port. Choices at breakfast buffet was good. I liked that they had lockers where I could leave my luggage after checking out. The very helpful staff at reception who spoke fluent English. The excellent breakfast, the décor, the ease of getting to La Rambla and the ocean and the metro station. While the rooms were small they were cute and efficient with a fun design. The breakfast buffet was huge as well. Have found nothing to complain about yet. Not really a complaint , but the design off the hotel and rooms are a bit weird!!. No opening windows and air conditioning not working. Nothing. Toilet in bedroom with no fan. not enough hanging space for clothes and no draws or shelves. the view from my room onto all the apartments. I also found the bacon and eggs cold. Room was not clean enough to my standards, but acceptable. Voices in lobby echoed into my room until very late at night. Absence of balconies. Quite far from the beach (about 25 min walk). There are some narrow streets near the hotel I wouldn't recommend to visit at night. An air-conditioner works too loudly which is inconvenient at night, particularly. Expensive laundry costs. The room had been freshly painted and still smelt strongly of paint and there was no possibility to open the window or leave the aircon running when not in the room. We didnt get any clean towels When we checked in. And we arrived late!!. There isn't much room privacy. It's a piece of glass the separates the shower from the bed. If someone wants to use the shower and not be seen naked they have to curtain off half the room and the other person is left in the dark without any daylight or much lighting. Also the faucets have high pressure water pressure which is nice, but the faucets are cheap and often spray everywhere when you first open them up. No iron and ironing board in room or available from reception - it is ESSENTIAL for business travellers to be able to press their clothes and I have never stayed somewhere where this was not available to guests!. could do with more storage facilities in room. Surrounding streets look dangerous in the evening. We try to use the locker for our suitcases downstairs , but there is no instruction on the door neither on the wall in English. So we put 6 € in the door untill we realize what should we do instead of 2€. When we ask at the reception to get our money back , the lady-receptionist was very surprised and rude. She said that the instruction is clear, but we didn't see any word in English. So our visit in your hotel was spoiled by this lady. Please put instruction in English there. Beds are too small No window in the room. bed too small for two persons. no windows in the rooms and poor air con. Would have like a pool Mood lighting didn't work. Not possible to open the window. Single rooms on ground floor in pods with no windows had to upgrade to a double to get a room that had a window for some light.... No coffee/tea making facilities in room. No space to put things....room would benefit from a desk or table. Specifically asked for a Twin room when booked the room 5 months in advance. When we got there - were told only double room was available and we could change the next day. Changing rooms was a real pain as had to pack up all stuff again - waste of my time!. I don't like the room without window. no storage space. Typical spanish hotel: thin walls and no non-Spanish television in the rooms. No window in the room, but is possibility so see what is out side. The reception stuff was unfriendly, didn't care at all of what we need and we left or came. The only guy at night chift Sergio was helpful. Room has poor furniture layout. Air conditioning/ heating is poor. Ventilation is poor. the toilette was very small apart from the sink- you had to walk from the toilette through the bed to go and wash your hands there was no window in the room!! the bedroom was separated from thje glass shower via a curtain the lift could take ages to come. Not very clean. Lack of space for dress, even there are no hooks for towels. No acces for fresh air in the room. Corridor paint black, like a cave No basin plug Window blind not working No method of escape if a corridor fire as no opening windows. noise of the airco. no bedding apart from an bottom sheet and pillow. Air conditioning did not work overall an expensive uncomfortable night away. I xpected tea/coffee at least in the rooms. The room was tiny and crammed. But for the price and location I'd put up with it again and rebook if I was going again. I was in a room without windows!!. It was overprice. There where small rooms with hard beds and dark corridoors. The breakfast was expansive and not that good. All The staff was not really serviceminded. small room, no windows opened inside the room so no good aeration,.
