The best location in Moscow. Friendly and qualified staff. Very friendly to my young grandson. Hystorical building and luxurious interiors. Sweet compliments (cookies) in the room (grandson was very glad). Free Wi-Fi thouout the location. Quiet place (main entrance side). Bath dress for 4 yo grandson. We stayed at the Metropol Hotel for two nights with my friends. It was located just around the corner from Red Square, and within easy walking distance of most of the tourist attractions you would want to visit in Moscow. The staff were friendly, recognizing and greeting us as I came and went.

Prices is not low but reasonable for such hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful with many speaking Englush , unlike other hotels . I stayed one night this time in a comfortable and silent room with a decent room temperature. Previous times at Metropol and other 5 star Moscow hotels for that matter, it has often happened that it is like a sauna in the room and an aircondition system that is noisy and cannot provide a decent room temperature. Very polite and serviceminded staff both at the reception and the lobby bar (I notice an improvement compared to previous years). Breackfast. Climate (air conditioning) control is a bit ineffective: indicating "max +" there was still fresh in the room after bath for 4 yo grandson. The drainage system of the shower need to be improved If you dont like old fashioned design you will not like this hotel. 1. Only accept Russian RUB, it will be better if can be paid by USD or EUROs. They need a taxi service close to the hotel or a part of Metropol because the company they use took 45 minutes to pick me up to go to the airport. Moscow council digging up the sidewalk outside. must always get a hotel taxi. staff in bar. Unless you are lucky as I was this time and find a decent room price, the prices are normally outrageous - unfortunately the situation in center of Moscow. -Room without airconditioner -Minibar out of order -Minibar empty.
