Reception was most helpful on arrival, giving information we wanted, without needing to ask. Being on the edge of the old town it did not take long to walk in to the square. It was close to both the bus, and train stations, which had a major modern shopping precinct adjacent to it. A lot of old world charm to the foyer and our room. Our room was small but elegant with a nice modern bathroom, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and 3 bottles of water each day. Breakfast was very good, as well as the cold buffet you could have cooked food. Dinner in the restaurant was also very good and excellent value. There were lots of nice touches - fresh plants in the dining room, a pleasant outdoor garden in which they were planting new plants ready for the bette. We loved everything about this hotel, from the moment we checked in the staff and I mean all of the staff were friendly, polite, professional and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious, the ambience of the hotel was very comfortable and in line with an old building, had lots of character and we felt very much at home here. It is in an excellent location both for the trains and the trams. We have stayed at other hotels in Krakow before but this takes the biscuit. We would not consider. Hotel Europejski far exceeded our expectations. It is a very charming European style hotel, impeccably clean, literally opposite Krakow Glowny and a short walk away from the Main Square. The staff at the reception are efficient and courteous. The buffet breakfast included in the room rate is lavish and is served in a very charming breakfast room. Also one on the largest shopping malls in Poland is just across the road and a small pedestrian area from the Hotel. Convenient location, perfect to exploring Krakow city centre (everything is in the walking distance) and the area around, the main train and bus stations are just opposite the hotel. Very central, easy walk to the Old town and market Square, the Galleria shopping centre and the Central railway station. The only problem was when we arrived late at night the receptionist couldn't find our booking and it took a while for him to sort it out. The only criticism we had was one morning we found a couple of yoghurts which were out of date but stress this is the only criticism. We requested, and were given a room to the rear of the hotel, overlooking the sweet little garden. We had been informed that rooms to the front of the hotel could be noisy, especially in summer. Our room was fine. A bit noisy at night due to tram station, but it's not much of a problem. With its proximity to the main train and tram station the front rooms can be a little noisy at night. Nothing that some ear plugs won't fix but if this is a problem perhaps ask for the back rooms. No lift so you have to carry your bags up couple flights of stairs. No English tv. Room was a bit noisy, trepidations from the tram lines could be felt in the room. Also, it is a bit difficult to reach the hotel by car if you've never been to Krakow before (vehicle access is a bit complicated). we didn't have any problems at all. There is no lift in the building but there is always someone to help to carry your luggage. I forgot that you can ask for eggs and omelettes made to order at the included breakfast buffet. The wifi kept dropping. There was absolutely nothing to dislike.This hotel is as close to perfection as you can get. no elevator, but only two stories so not a big deal. twas all good. nothing. The tram noise and vibration....is shaking everything in the room :). Didn't affect us but no lift. Hotel decorations were a little over the top, even bizarre but a friendly place to stay nonetheless. nothing. The Wi-fi connection didn't work this time around, in spite of lots of help from a concierge. (It could have been due to my room being in the back of the building on the ground floor; during my previous stays at the Europejski I had wireless internet in my room without any problems). no elevator. The hotel is next to the tram so the vibrations of the tram do have an influence on your sleep. While one of the cheapest hotels in Krakow, it as still expensive for 1 night - 106 euros. Nothing!. A little bit expensive but worth the price anyway. coffee at breakfast not to my taste but minor quibble. A little Noisy. Near tram station No elevator. Well a lift for older travellers would be handy. No elevator. No lift. Double room booked, got 3 singles, no lift which is awkward for the less mobile.
