Everything was really nice - room had new furniture and everything was nice and clean, bathroom also was very nice. The beds were huge and it was very warm in the room. Breakfast was also nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great - exactly in the centre, close to central station and to all the shops and sight seeing - also it was very easy to find. With delayed flights and some lost luggage, The staff were very helpful, helping me to get everything I needed, indeed the moy helpful I have come across in many sseveral hotel stays in The Netherlands. The room was a good size, very clean with good bathroom facilities and widescreen TV. Breakfast was a continental style hot and cold buffet, which was of a good quality.

I wouldn't say I disliked it so much but there was a lot of construction going on down the corridor from us. a bit irritating during my siesta but it was a weekday afternoon so cant complain.the signs for the rooms is confusing sometimes - until you find your room. for me the light was not so bright for me as i like it. ran out of bacon during breakfast and did not refill.Breakfast not included, although it was offered at an additional 12.50E. There is a church bell ringing every 15 minutes. The WIFI internet is very expensive - 12.50 Euros for 24h. They did not inform me that if you order breakfast in advance it costs 10 Euros instead of 12.50. The corridors' ceiling is very low and I hit my head twice.No air con. Not well ventilated. Labirint :D searching the room.... but it was better after few days :). - no free internet (while easily available in different venues in the city). Ground floor rooms become noisy due to people partying on the streets late in the night so ask for a room on upper floors. smoke alarms....boo. Single room was too hot - small, so not much ventilation. Window locking system was a bit primitive and a little confusing (although it did work). hotel good but wouldnt rate it as 3 star very basic. The stairs. Clear smell as evidence that a recent guest had smoked in the room.No wireless internet, though it was in the description of the services. I think the TV was new but signal very low also the shower handle kept moving you hear a lot of foot traffic. air conditioner is not very nice, i felt a bit cold when living in one big room in February.There was no air conditioning in the room and also no fan. The only option was to open the window which let in bugs and also enhanced the constant sound of bells ringing (constantly) from the church across the street. This room was on the front of the hotel. Stairs are unavoidable due to the layout of the hotel. The breakfast was not so good I am a vegetrian and thought that it was not right the utensils for the meat items was being used for the non-meat items. When I booked the hotel I thought I had booked a smoking hotel as being in amsterdam wat eles do you do?. the church bells.

From Schiphol Airport, you can reach Hotel Terminus in 21 minutes.
- Follow Ring West.
- Take exit Osdorp Centrum (S106).
- Driving in the direction of Centrum you will come to a square, the Surinameplein.
- Go straight and then take the left lane to turn left after the bridge.
- Continue on this road, the Overtoom, to the end and turn right to the Stadhouderskade.
- Drive along the Rijksmuseum and turn left at the 2nd traffic lights (just before the Heineken brewery).
- Continue straight at the roundabout, reaching Vijzelsgracht, further on called Vijzelstraat.
- At the Munt Tower keep to the left along the river Amstel.
- On Rokin, head straight on crossing Dam Square onto Damrak.
- On your right you will pass The Bijenkorf, then take a right followed by a left into the Beursstraat.
- Terminus is located at number 11-19.
