I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. From the staff to the cleanliness, to the room....it was all excellent. Linda helped us one morning and made phonecalls on our behalf to help us find specific shops in town. I loved the room. I am very particular about lighting....and this room rocked as far as I was concerned. The shower was beautiful. You have a mini tea and coffee maker in your room. It was very quiet. all reviews » 3 night stay - Hotel located very close to Metro line - station can be seen from the hotel - so if you are travelling by car, just leave it at the hotel and travel by public transport to the city center. Parking is free from Friday 6 p.m. to Monday 9 a.m. After that it is Euro 1.50 for an hour or Euro 9.00 I believe for the day. Hotel very comfortable and included Continental Breakfast which was very good indeed. The Receptionist in charge (Juliette - sorry, may have mis spelt that) on the nigh. This hotel is very well maintained and clean. The breakfast area is modern and spacious. Room gives an elegant look. The staff is friendly and able to communciate very well in English. The general area is peaceful and does not give a sense of insecurity even during the night. Metro and tram are so close that the ground + 2 levels hotel is visible from the train platform. There is a nice supermarket nearby that stays open probably until 10 pm. Otherwise shops usually close around 6-7 pm. City ce. Very nice hotel with very friendly staff. The room is comfortable and clean and it has a very nice bathroom with a fantastic walk-in shower. Internet is free and the breakfast is good. Close to the trem and metro station (Van Boshuizenstraat) and you take the no. 5 tram from Amstedam Centraal or the no. 51 metro. Also a supermarket close to the hotel. Nice area to go for a run. Very good facilities and room very comfortable. Quite far from Amsterdam centre but easily accessed by the very efficient tram service just 100 yards from the hotel. Just £12 per person for 2 day ticket was excellent value and we made very good use of it during our stay. The local area also had a good selection of shops for everyday needs. we would return. These are not luxury items that should not be in a hotel of this type. We have stayed in other similar hotels and usually rooms come equipped with drawers on bedside tables and a closet as well. It's ok is safe for one's valuables is located in reception area and not in the room itself, but closets and drawers are a must for a room. The only thing may be is a safe in the room!!. The two minor issues we faced: bed was two singles pushed together not large double. The other annoying thing was the water temprature is flactuating from hot to cold while showering. If I have to be really picky the only thing I could say is the duvet's are not wide enough for the beds!. Nothing to dislike at all. Some place to eat nearby would be lovely or even a night sandwich and soup service like the morning breakfast . It's actually not that near to the city centrum but for business travel and short stay it's OK. nothing. Everything was just perfect. the number of table in the breakfast room is small. Breackfast could be better. The bar in the hotel is not worth the money!. Fruit juice at breakfast was poor. The hotel was situated 30 minutes from the city centre. The room had no heating, so it was a bit cold. You could hear airplanes taking off or landing from early in the morning till late at night. Due to the absence of cupboards, guests staying longer have to "live out of a suitcase". The breakfast is adequate but limited. Parking is a little tricky-- it is right next door but you have to pay between 9 and 7 through a machine that onlyntakes credit cards-- which is difficult unless you have a chip and pin card or some atm cards work. It's not the hotels lot, so it is not their fault, but a bitbof a pain if you have a car. It does not have space for t-shirts anf shirts. Not very near the centre of town, a taxi would cost 30-35 euros. Drinks sold at reception costly, for example a small bottle of water for 2 Euros, which you can buy at the supermarket down the road for 39c!. Nothing. I rented a car and this place was always hard to find after driving around for the two days we were there. Quite a distance from city centre, but there is good tram service. Only two restaurants (French and Chinese) nearby; limited choice. 20 minute tram ride to the center of Amsterdam, although they ran often. Pillows very hard. Price level (although in Amsterdam it seems a major problem) Location is not bad, since there is a tram station nearby and you can easily get to city center as well. Far from city center,. limited size of wardrobe - just 2 t-shirts and 1 suit. The hotel is a little far from the city center, 20 mins by tram. Location was a bit remote but the tram and metro service negated this. The lack of a restaurant in the immediate area was also a bit of an issue. Only real problem with the hotel was that the room heating didn't work very well at all. Limited bar area. Nothing, but some evening restaurant facility would be appreciated. Not dislike per say just little inconvenient; breakfast room little crowded & little far from city- 20 minutes on tram. No negative points. Not enough cupboard space in room. Location a bit far from center. 20 minutes ride by tram. But all others was ok. Nothing. Bed was very uncomfortable. Sagged in the middle.
