Our host was the most wonderful host of our entire trip to Morocco! When we arrived, she offered to walk with us to find our car (we parked on the other side of the Medina and had some boys walk us to the Dar so we weren't sure how to get back to the car). She ended up giving us an hour or two tour outside the Medina. We saw everything! She made us feel like family and like we were in our own home. Very relaxed! all reviews » We wanted to stay in in Fez for just one night but after meeting Hanane and his family and this beautiful riad, we decided to stay there for three nights and use Fez to visit the neighboorhoods (Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, etc..). Hanane and her sister are excellent hosts and will try their best to make you feel at home and genuinely help you for any thing you may need (a taxi, a guide, a shopping tour). Rooms are very romantic, painted with warm colors and furnished with typical moroccan furnut. Dar Naima was in a perfect location in the middle of the Medina. Our train came in at 1:00 am during Ramadan and our host, Hanane, was there to greet us and walked us to the Dar and sat us down with tea and cookies. The next day when we didn't have plans, Hanan took us with her into the Medina and showed us the markets and even waited while we shipped and look at the leather tanneries. Since it was Ramadan, eating out was difficult so we opted for the meals made at the Dar. They were delicious . Dar Naima is really nicely decorated with a traditional Moroccan feel. We were made to feel welcome on our arrival and offered our first taste of mint tea, which was delicious. The director gave us a tour of the Medina which was interesting (although we had only wanted to pop out to the cash machine after travelling since 2am!) We chose to have dinner at the hotel on the first night and were treated to a 3 course feast on the panoramic rooftop terrace! Probably the best meal we had all holiday. Hind and Hanna are like a family for their guest. They help you to enjoy the best of fez. They can arrange a good guide (not expensive/ fine english) and are located in a small (save) street in the center of the medina. Please try the diner because the chef is whithout a doubt the best in the whole city! We slept in the small cheap room (for us ok). The bigger rooms we did see... very nice. There are only a few roof-top-terasses, Dar Naima has one with a view over the mountains and the medina. . Staff was extremely friendly, and would be happy to assist you with anything. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was amazing, so tasteful and luxurious, was like at a 5 star place. And so was the view. When we had to leave very early in the morning, breakfast was specially left for us at the door. The two owners, Hanane and the other woman are so welcoming and kind! we felt like home! a huge thank you to them :) Lugar decorado con mucho gusto, beautiful house and rooms looking to the Medina.It is located right in the center of the Old Medina. Also nice breakfast at the top floor. The family that runned the place was extremely friendly. The place was quiet but very good situated, right in the old medina. It was also quite clean. The terrace at the top have great views. There is parking possibility outside the medina ramparts (75 m from the hotel) for 10 DH/night. It was a very nice Riad with a wonderful staff. We would stay there again and hope that we are able to return. Here's the best hotel in the place I stayed in Marroc. - Located in the medina, but just off the major roads, so not too much noise. Not the easiest of places to find without a guide as there is no name outside, but once we got our bearings it was easier to navigate back from the main street. The tour was great and free of charge but we were taken to a number of shops en route and put under pressure to buy!. The hotel is not finished so we were a little confused when we arrived. Location can be hard to find, you'll need a guide to bring you (the riad will contact you, and give instructions to the cab driver). Everything right!. It could be difficult to find. The bathroom was not up to European/ American standards. However, it was better than the bathroom in the other hotel we stayed in while in Rabat and the hotel in Rabat was twice the price. The adress was right, but the map was wrong. When you go there, you should ask someone how to go as showing the adress, otherwise you must lost the way. - Bathroom was quite smelly. - Overall it was okay, but not as hospitable as expected and i missed information in general, maybe because of limited knowledge of English. problem with the shower, did not drain, otherwise very nice. One of the beds was really hard A little hard to find because there is absolutly no indication on building. bathroom not clean some noisy. We requested doublebed but got 2 separated. Hotel was under reconstruction and there were absolutely no signs (not even on entrance door).
