Cannot beat price. Can arrange tours, and buy bus tickets from reception
(though bus tickets have commission), we had a double room which was
spacious, good bathroom. Free breakfast and dinner - breakfast varied
each day, though tended to run out later in the morning. Dinner a bit
hit and miss, but lovely to have the option.
In my opinion one of the best hostels I've ever been to. Perfect location near the Zocalo, very helpful staff, good wifi connection and it's very clean. Moreover there is breakfast and dinner included in the price and it's just perfect to take a drink at the bar on the rooftop...
to sum up, very good value for the money.
location, very close to zocalo. Friendly and helpfull personnel. it is possible to book tours (ex. Teotihuacan). Nice roof terrace. Dinner is included, simple but ok. water and refreshments can be bought in the hostel. big room. this hostel is also used by mexicans and families.
The Guy at the reception was really friendly and helpful! The Breakfast and the Food at 18 30 o clock, too ;). El hombre "Victor" "le chef" del desayuno es un hombre muy chistoso y sympathico tambien!!.
We had a nice stay. Good location close to main tourist areas. Daily
dinner / snacks were a nice touch (not fancy but more than enough).
Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
We've stayed there only for a short time, just to wait to another flight, the location is great so we've just walked around the zocalo square.
Nice Hostel in the heart of the Old Mexico City, friendly staff and tours. Ok breakfast and chillout place on the 4th floor.
Thanks !.
Location, Staff speaks english, price, rooms are good for what you pay,
shower pressure higher than I have at home and hot water.
Great staff friendly people the location is pretty good its right next by the Zocalo and all the Arts of Mexico City.
The staff very cooperative.
The location.
Really the staff make forget small details. For the money is very good.
Located on n a quiet street, for Mexico City. Bilingual staff knew everything about sights and how to get there.
Basically everyrhing was perfect, even free breakfast and dinner included (simple, but actually very good )!.
good location, only 5 minutes to zocalo square.nice stuffs, and the also offer dinner for the customers.
Good location, made a lot of friends because of the communal meals, interesting tours.
Great location, meals are nutritious and ample, staff is very helpful and friendly.
Excellent positioned!.....only 300 yards from the central square
of Zòcalo.
The staff especially Victor, and the breakfasts ! Terrace is also lovely.
Helpful staff, good location, free breakfast and dinner a great bonus.
provide breakfast & dinner; good position;.
Friendly staff, dinner included.
free breakfast and dinner!.
Recommended.
We had a suite with a front balcony and with a kitchen. There was plenty
of room, and lots of light. The bed was comfortable, and there was an
excellent shower and lots of hot water. Staff were very helpful and
pleasant. Breakfast and dinner were included, but the food was basic.
There were three good computers available for internet use, free of
charge. The location, five minute walk from the Zocalo, was perfect.
Staff was very nice (specially one sir that was always around during breakfast), room was large, but only ok. They served dinner too.
Cheap, clean enough, good enough - everything enough really. Good
backpacking option I think.
Victor (staff member) really made you feel like an amigo! Great
location.
- location
- spacious room
- TV in room
- hot shower
- safe in room.
Nice Barkeeper
Offering tours
Great location. In the Center.
great location, Free breakfast and dinner, good stuff..
Decent for a hostel.
Location is good.
conveniently located.
Anything.
Free shuttle bus: from Airport to hotel only + in certain weekday only + until certain time + & at last due to availability ... i recommend cancelling this service & it is not important or devolop... to "Airport" = $3 by 3 MTR or behind hotel (50m/1min. walk) bus #E4/$30/30min./every 5 min..
Also, no Net in Computer center.
The power went out for about 30hrs, which also meant we couldn't
shower or flush the toilet. The staff were obviously working hard to
fix it, and a generator was set up, but a bit more communication would
have been great (ie- telling us there was no power and when they
expected it back). Beds were very old, and uncomfortable as you could
feel the springs.
when people hang in the corridor or the internet pc's after 0.00 and are loud, sleeping is quite impossible. it's just bad luck if you have this. make sure you ask for an inside room (not one along the street because of the traffic noise).
as other customers already manchened, the matresses are a little hard. Not recommended for older people.
No complaints.
The free breakfast and dinner leave much to be desired. 90% of the time
there is no protein in the meal unless beans or cheese which isnt
always. Morning is basically cereal and yogurt and bread. Dinner
depends. I usually just eat the morning then try to make it to lunch to
eat street food.
The food can be improve, just put the burns on, and it can be all the time warm. No big deal and the meals it will taste better.
The bed was extremely hard, that was the only fault.
Just sometimes a bit noisy music..
wifi dose not work in room.
Rooms on the street are fumy and noisy. Beds are rock hard or worn out.
You would think that the price to stay would include soap and towels but it doesn't. You have to pay extra for these essentials. Internet wireless is a bit iffy at times.
Could do with a few pegs to hang clothes on in the suite, and bedside table light.
Bed not that comfy, noise from next door building early in morning.
the staff does cleaning early in the morning and rooms are not sound proof at all :(.
In the kitchen ...the windows did not close; the hot water tap was
broken, and the gas supply was difficult to work. There was no bedside
lighting and nowhere to hang clothes.
Room is a bit spartan (very few furniture, no decoration) and worned out, needing renewal. Location is a bit unsafe to walk around at night, but being in a group helps. One day there was no water, which was a bit unconvenient for us.
Bit noisy, food disappears quickly (especially breakfast), but all in
context of cheap hostel no big gripes really.
Mexico is a bit odd, nothing that impressive to get hold of. We didn't really sample the nightlife properly though.
We booked through bookings.com and it said if you stay 3 or more nights
you get a free airport transfer. We requested this through email. We
waited 1hr and no one picked us up, we arrived at 10pm. We got ripped
off by the taxi to the hostel !! when we asked the lady at reception she
said its only from certain times. They should clearly state this on the
site, or at least emailed us back before. They could offer a free
shuttle back to the airport but its only one-way.
- noisy, both from other guests and outside
- old (but clean) bed sheets.
Wifi working really bad
Rooms very low standard
Not allowed to bring your own beer.
Pictures are deceiving, no where near as nice. Fairly dark, and
very warm.
The room faces to the street is noisy.
poor facilities.
Horrrible smell rooms, dirty beds and linens, moschitos.
