This was just perfect. A modern ryokan with all the tradition and relaxation of old but with modernity and first class facilities and luxury. We wanted for nothing and could not have been made to feel more welcome. Fabulous experience which I will remember for a long time. Nice touches such as socks to go with the indoor Japanese shoes, English language newspaper delivered to our room and lovely staff. The baths and restaurant were particularly good. It's also 3 mins walk from the stunning trai. all reviews »
The location, so near the train/bus station, is unbelievably convenient. The staff met our every need. This place is beautifully designed. Plentiful hot water, towels, and Shiseido products made the onsen (public bath) experience a twice-daily delight. Tea and sweets were served whenever we returned from shopping or sightseeing. Excellent food is available in the restaurant.
Just about everything. The staff was wonderful, and the room large
(larger than standard Japanese hotel roms) and was more like a suite,
with separate toilet and shower/bath room. It was beautifully serene
to be there. Good location for the bus and train station (walking
distance) and easy to get to all the sites by taking the bus that makes
loops around the city.
Loved the location, a stone's throw away from the train station. The pictures here also don't do it justice, it's even lovelier in reality. Excellent service and food. The rooms and futons were extremely comfortable and the yukatas very tasteful.
A nice insight into Japanese culture in a modern, but traditional, setting. Very polite and helpful staff. Good location close to the station, the city and attractions. Enjoyed a first experience at a public bath in the hotel.
Everything. Very nice ryokan, Staff very friendly. Amazing room. Very close to the railway station. A bit expensive but definitely worthy.
Great positioning and lovely staff
Good for traditional feel without being a ryokan.
it's more cheap in Kagaya system,&the room is clean, service is really nice.
I didn't want to leave!.
Some of the woodwork looked worn and shabby.
Figuring out how to manage the room temperature was tricky.
Overall, no drawbacks to stop us from recommending this
ryokan/hotel. But to note: The heat, even set at highest, did not
fully heat the room, so there was a chill in the air, but the blankets
were very cosy and warm (extras found n the closet). Doubling up on the
futons made them more comfortable.
Nothing really. It's not a traditional ryokan per se but very modern with all the service of a traditional ryokan.
No Wifi available.
Shared bathroom not great.
the publicbath is too small.
