Although the menu was the same each day, the food was plentiful freshly prepared. The breakfast room staff were very accomodating. The front desk staff were very attentive to any requests, very helpful and graciously answered our many questions, especially Carlos. The room and hotel was very clean and nicely furnished. It was also conveniently located near the Rialto Bridge and St. Marks Squar.

It's a good value for the money spent in a city where some businesses easily gouge tourists. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, providing answers to every question we had. The breakfast is a cut above the standard European fare and the location can't be beat.Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Very close to all the sites, and great shops and restaurants are 5 minutes away. Hotel is almost brand new, and is in a very quiet and nice neighborhood. It takes 10 minutes to get to the hotel from the train station by a water taxi or water bus/public transportation. Hotel's staff very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. We chose the hotel based upon the rating on Booking and weren't disappointed. Venice had gone from being very hot to quite cold.The only downside is that there isn't a comfortable bar/lounge areawhere you can have a drink and read a book. The lobby is a littlespartan and there is a small lounge area but it is not an attractiveproposition. This is a very minor criticism - you are in the middle ofVenice so there's plenty of cafes about. The provision of disposable plastic tumblers only for drinking purposes in the room. I would think for the money we paid we would have had at least glass tumblers. The mini-bar was well over priced and no tea or coffee making facilities.Room was a little small. A bit poshy for our taste, but we understand most visitors might like that...Breakfast so-and-so. that it did not have watertaxi access and no smoking. The woman that checked us in was terrific - very helpful - went out ofher way to welcome us. The fellow that worked the rest of the weekendwas rather colorless and, while nice and helpful, didn't exude thefriendliness that the rest of the staff did. Coffee was awful!! Bed was a little uncomfy thats the only negative things about this hotel.The night desk gentleman was not as cordial as the others as stated above. This receptionist eyed us with "suspicion and disdain" when we arrived back at the hotel one late evening. We asked for some ice and found him relectant to give us the "ice upon request". Breakfast (hot) wasn't great.
