We booked Albergo Bonvecchiati but were transferred to the sister Hotel 1 min away Palazzo Bonvecchiati. This Hotel is a 4 star but was a 5 star by our standards. The staff were the best we've ever met, the hotel is brand new and modern, so beautiful and very well located. Albergo Bonvecchiati is more antique looking and seems very nice as well but we didn't get a chance to see it. Very pleased!.

We went just before easter and got a great price - I would not have paid the standard rate during peak season - too expensive and too many tourists. Overall, a brilliant holiday. Glad I picked the Albergo Bonvecchaiti.It was in the perfect location, right in San Marco. The hotel was on acanal and was beautiful. The free breakfast was GREAT...every morning.Absolutely everything about this hotel was Amazing. This will be ourhotel when we visit Venice again...and we're telling all of our friendsto stay there as well. Very close to the boat terminal and to excelent restaurants. I called the hotel and asked for direction after getting off the boat and the man did not want to help at all and said just asked around. There were birds freely flying around the breakfast buffet - could put some off.A little difficult to find. waiting sunday morning for breakfast for 35 minutes, when there was another floor not used, and the adjoining balcony was not used as well.We booked for 2 rooms in january however when we arrived they didn'trealise we were together? So had rooms on different floors 2 and 6, butwere given an upgrade because of this. check out time.The garbage boat that came every morning about 6:30ish was very loud. At nights up to the midnight big noise was coming from outside. It was not hotel mistake but anyhow was disturbing... It was not possible to sleep because of the street anarchy...Hıtel adminisration should talk this matter with the police...shower curtain instead of screen, lack of tea making facilities in room!. front desk could have been a little friendlier, they were very efficient but I felt like they were going thru the motions without friendliness or warmth. We would still stay there again.Venice is al lively town so ther is noise outside. But the windows and blinds kept it out good. I liked it very much.
