  M just back from a trip to Italy and had stayed 3 nights at Casa Santa Sofia. Biggest advantage and my reason for selecting this place was the location. Its at a walking distance from Metro station Cavour, which is the first stop after Termini on Blue line. So its very convenient to reach the hotel from Airport. Joined to the convent, it is run by the Catechist Sisters of St Anne (there's mass every morning at 06:50, if you fancy joining them). Simply furnished, this is a very basic hotel, and not one for a "romantic weekend" perhaps, but a perfect crash-pad for friends having a break in Rome. I loved it - clean, quiet, spacious, friendly.   All was perfect! We spent our honeymoon there and, as a surprise, we get un upgrade to Moliere Suite (superior suite) with a bouquet of red tulips with wishes from staff and chocolate hearts. Thanks for Colosseo Teatro Relai - The location is very central and close to Cavour metro station. Colosseum is also 5-10 minutes walk away. Everyday the room was cleaned and the linen changed. We had the standard double room but it was more than we expected as it offered great comfort. Finally, before our arrival the hotel reception contacted us and gave ususeful information on how to find the hotel location. We are extremely happy to have stayed that as the stay was pleasant.

  We absolutely LOVED House Monti!! In fact, on an 8 month trip around the world this is one of my top rooms! Great location with a nice square with a fountain around the corner and a view over colosseum. Nearby alot of sightseeing and a Metro station around the corner. 15 min walk to Termini. The staff was really serviceminded and helped us call about our luggage since we weren't able to recieve it when we were on a guided tour. High speed free internet. Comfortable beds and alot of space. We were in the suite so we also hade a fridge and a little pentry. Good cleaning eve

  When we arrived, we had the pleasant surprise to get an upgrade from a normal room to a studio (with kitchenette). The room is very comfortable and spacious enough.. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and nice (though we arrived at about 11am, our room was ready).
