We absolutely LOVED House Monti!! In fact, on an 8 month trip around the world this is one of my top rooms! Located right in the heart of Rome - literally 5min walk or less from the Colosseum and so close to everything else it was perfect - we walked everywhere! Though if you need the Metro is right there. The rooms are located in a gorgeous old building on a very cute Piazza with many cute cafes and bars to enjoy. The rooms were spotless - beaitifully decorated and such a comfy bed and was mad.
all reviews » It was really good standard. Great location with a nice square with a fountain around the corner and a view over colosseum. Nearby alot of sightseeing and a Metro station around the corner. 15 min walk to Termini. The staff was really serviceminded and helped us call about our luggage since we weren't able to recieve it when we were on a guided tour. High speed free internet. Comfortable beds and alot of space. We were in the suite so we also hade a fridge and a little pentry. Good cleaning eve. it was second stay in the same apartment- ADRIANO- the one with view to COLOSSEUM!from bedroom window-fantastic.a lot of restaurant just round the corner, close to Fori Imperiali and Capitol,metro Cavour-one station from termini-buses to airports,large,two-room apartment with equipped kitchenette,big blue fridge, air condition but also traditional heating,smell of coffee from the cafeteria downstairs in the morning, wide comfy bed for two, nice furniture,lights, fresh towels,good working wi-fi,. Everything! The staff are brilliant (my girlfriend and I loved Luca - he was lovely and so nice), the location is perfect (there is a little fountain outside where at night it turns into the local hotspot - many beer consumed here every night and in the early hours of the morning) also it was such a steal at the price we paid! We promised Luca we would see him again soon. Wouldn't even dream of staying anywhere else next time we visit Rome. we stayed in a beautiful apartment fully equipped.the staff was great. we couldn't do the check in before 4 o'clock , but they gave us all the informations we need by e-mail and phone to reach the apartment and to come in. we had a very pleasant stay and for sure we will come back to stay here, when we want to stay in the city centre. We stayed 4 nights in the little apartment on Panisperna street. The apartment is spacious, it was nice to have a bedroom and a living room with a sofa for our son. Also I liked the street view and the location in Monti neighborhood was great. A lot of nice cafes and restaurants around and transportation to everywhere near by. The hotel is located only 400m away from the coloseum and enables you to reach almost all sightseeing highlights by foot. The hotel itself is really a nice place to stay, a few bars around the corner were overcrowded with local people. We enjoyed our night!. Location was superb - Excellent little back street pannini shop 'I due fratellis' nearby for 2.50 Euro and sit on curb and eat with the locals. Nice breakfast with coffee machine in hotel. 24 hour reception. Well located with fab atmosphere outside with the locals. Plenty of places to eat 24/7 you can cook a meal in hotel room also. Closing shutters at night made it completly soundproof and dark. Amazing place. Great location directly at the heart of ancient Rome and the center of the charming Monti district. Our host was extremely helpful. Our suite had separate sleeping room, both rooms were rather spacious. Very central, 5 minutes away from the Colosseum, walking distance from Fontana di Trevi; staff very friendly; the room was very clean and spacious. The street is also very picturesque and nice. location is perfect room is very clean and convenient staff is very helpful facilities around not far from train station, pretty close to main attraction very close to subway and Colosseum. The location of the House Monti is awesome! The area around is full of cafes and main sightseeings can be reached afoot. Our room was some blocks from the main office, it was quiet there. This hotel is located in a small cozy district quite close to coliseum~~can walk to main travelers' spots from here~~ I like the design of the room~ The staff is nice and helpful!. the location was really great and that meant that you could sample the culture and itailian way of life better than staying in a hotel , the local Pizzo was a great evening out. - Staff responsive to needs & very polite - Size and quality of apartment was good. Very homely - Nice neighborhood - Convenient to public transport; bus and train. House Monte was absolutely amazing Vanessa a girl that works there was so so friendly. The apartment we had was perfect and couldn't have asked for a better location. Very friendly reception. Lots of tips for good restaurants. Arranged for economic taxi pick-up for return to airport. Apartment was lovely & decorated so nicely. Comfortable & very spacious. Location was perfect and staff. and most importantly room itself was awesome. The room was fair for what other options were available although it wasn't the best I've experienced for the price around Europe. It didn't represent value. Wifi was good though. good location. We did find it a little hard to find but all good once we were there!. There is really nothing to say. I was so satisfied with this stay. One thing to keep in mind is that the staff isn't available the whole day but are very friendly and helpful as you speak to them. Nothing - Rome and House Monti were both so beautiful and fantastic. The only really bothering thing was the shower that did not work well and we had to wait a lot for warm water to run and sometimes it got cold in the middle ... Also there were problem with WIFI but they were fixed on the second day. Having to leave...it was fab waking up to see the colosum...how lucky were we. No breakfast and the options near by (bars, terraces) can work but are not that good. room a little bit small if you consider to stay for two if you like a quite place- definitely not the best choice. Internet connection was unstable, blankets too thick for summer weather. It's better to put the refrigerator in room or in common area~. I wish the way up to the unit could be easier (steep stairs, no lift). Nothing really everything was all quite good. Shower curtain was a bit grotty. Washing machine left clothes very wet. No clothes pegs. nothing. Only the person upstairs constantly bumping the ceiling-very very noisy but I guess it's a universal problem when staying in an apartment! The Cesare room had a beautiful old ceiling so soundproofing isn't really an option. N/A. Shower Lack of electric jug, Office hours inadequate. No breakfast, no parking. Name tag on the door is very hard to read. It can be har to find. The elavator. There is no kettle. Noisy location, small room, no fridge. The rooms in the "Separate building" are not the ones in the photos. These rooms are very small, old and unpleasant. Make sure you get a room in the main building in Via Dei Serpenti. We prepaid the hotel, so we cannot cancel it even when they gave us a room when the toilet bowl is shaky and not fixed. Was told no other rooms were available. A bit disappointed with that. Knowing the room has a toilet problem they still offer it and not fix it in time. They doesnt have a receptionist. I didn't like Rome at all. The entire area was dirty, everyone seems to try to rip you off. I had my belongings close to my chest the whole time. Never going back. no air conditioning (as was advertised) Upon arrival they informed us that we were staying in a separate building (they clearly rented a room from a private owner) wifi was very spotty - we did not bring cell phones so internet was our only form of communication with restaurants, family, directions to places etc. when we informed the staff nothing was done to help bring the room to the standard that had advertised the room as.
