It is close to the center of city and I recommend it as a good option for those coming first time in Tel Aviv having in mind that the city is one of the most expensive in the world. It is very easy to find the hotel when you are coming from airpo - Reception staff were absoultly unique. In my two and half week trip I spend time in 8 hotels raged from 5 stars to 3 stars. I would give 10 out of 10 for reception staff at home apartment. They helped me sorting problems which I needed help due to language barrier.

  It was our second stay at Gordon Hotel & Lounge. The location is great- just across the road is the beach. The staff are so helpful and friendly, we found that no request was too much trouble. The staff are knowledgeable too and share with you. We have travelled a lot over years and the staff in this hotel have to be up there at the top. Ana (I think that was her name) was outstanding in getting us set up, suggesting restaurants, and setting up tours. Breakfast was very good, so was the coffee.   The welcome to the apartments was amazing - friendly and informative and extremely helpful in every way. The apartments were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Being able to come and go as we please was really great too - unlike a hotel or b&b.   The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, from the salads, breads, dairy to the omelets and shaksuka. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and I loved the shower and bathtub. Plus they left a fresh bottle of water as needed. It was nice having the Azrieli mall right there, as well as a full supermarket, again, right out... what people say » side the door of the hotel. I did take advantage of the free shuttle to the beach which was great. It dropped me off at the Crowne Plaza on the beach, - The soundproofing is impressive, never heard of the ice cube machine right in front of my room once the door's closed. In case of dnd, you don't get a call asking whether you want the room cleaned or not, which is just the way it should be. The location is very conveniently located as long as you remember facilities around the hotel being closed during Shabat and plan in advance.

Breakfast was excellent and served à la carte and as such more personal than anonymous buffets of big chain hotels. All in all we really liked the familiar atmosphere.

From what I could see most of the hostel guest were from the US. The common instalations were nice and not too crowded.

  Stayed at the apartment for three days during my short trip to Israel. The room seemed new and clean and is equipped with almost everything you need except the telephone. Although I haven't used nothing except the hairdryer. The location is also good. The nearby street is maybe a little loud sometimes and for some people but never really bothered - Location (just across the beach, fantastic beach restaurant with great and fresh bfast, lunch and dinner) appartments clean, reasonably priced, and very friendly reception and.....24/7 Reception!! Very important if you arrive in the middle of the night at Ben Gurion.... Will come back....
