Foleys had a great location - shopping was all there and right around the corner from their hotel. The hotel was nicely furnished, very comfortable, beautiful antiques,etc. Our room was very clean, we liked that too. Their food was really good, we had a great breakfast, and there was a good crowd in there for dinner. We didn't eat dinner there, but the menu looked very interesting, others that we talked to enjoyed it. We had an unusual "heat wave" when we were there, and they were the on.

Historical quaint Inn. Beautifully decorated with beautiful antique pieces. Greeted with a warm smiling person every time we entered and with the great smelling wood fire place in the pub bar to the side. One of best dinners ever -- chef been there for 20+years. Goat Cheese appetizer & the Lobster were over the top. Wonderful staff in inn, restaurant, pub bar. Felt like we were in a really nice home vs. an inn. from the moment we arrived the staff were excellent.The room was lovely .Location was perfect right in the heart of Killarney .We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was beautiful .I would recommend Foleys to anyone looking for comfort location and food.We will definitely return. This hotel is located on one of the main streets of Killarney. It was very convenient for shopping and sight-seeing. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. This was a wonderful base for exploring the Ring of Kerry. liked the rooms .. and the excellent menu .. all served up and attended to by all the very efficentt staff .... so great to see the owners engaging with the customers ... which they do on every one of my visits. Moira on reception was wonderful, really friendly helpful and a credit to the establishment.Breakfasts and evening food excellent if not a bit pricey. Pub atmosphere - the drinks at the bar - when Joe wasn't there, the two women at the bar were not very generous with the drinks, it seemed they were busy elsewhere in the hotel, and it didn't seem like they wanted to wait on us, we got the feeling that they would rather be somewhere else. Not a very friendly service by them. Joe was fine at the bar, the two ladies should be doing something else if they don't want to wait on the bar patrons. Bed covers a little worn - a little more coziness would have been nice. Doors to rooms very hard to close which made them noisy. Could hear clients in next room , especially in bathroom!! Off street parking great but had to wait ages on return at 11pm to get night staff to open gates, in fact front door open and keys in lock ...had to walk through to dining room to attract someone attention. Nothing. having to leave!. Leaving!!!. maybe the bar staff in the evenings could have been a little bit more engaging. A few more details about using the heating and the jacuzzi bath would be useful. wifi only worked in public areas. No major facility such as fitness centre, swimming pool or spa, which would mitigate against a longer stay. Nothing to declare... nothing. No dislikes. The breakfast was small , no vegetarian option, no gluten free on buffet table . Bar and dining area were not as bright as the rest of the hotel but some very nice old style features. Nothing to dislike!. Didn like the town In the early hours of the morning, alot of drunk people falling out on to the streets after the night clubs. Breakfast was only ok. A little pricey for what you get. Wi-fi is unreliable at best, had to call reception to try and reset the modem but it didn't work. It was one of my criteria for selecting this place so quite disappointing. nothing. Nothing. Very noisy at night as it's right on the Main Street so we were kept awake most of the night by drunk people walking home and then the street sweepers in the morning. Did not feel refreshed in the morning. However I would stay again if I had a room around the back of the hotel. Nothing. Nothing. all good. all good. The staff wasn't always at the front desk as they also work in the restaurant. You have to leave your key with reception, which isn't normally a big deal but I felt bad trying to get their attention to get our room key when they were busy in the restaurant. The room was charming but the bedspread was not washed before our arrival as there was fresh blood on it. Also, the toilet didn't always flush. Bit noisy with people walking on corridors,could hear people in the next room. 115 for double room was ok. But its an average hotel.
