Galway as a family holiday was excellent although the sunny weather definitely made it. We had our car so great beaches such as Salthill, Barna and Spieddel was only 10 - 15 min drive away. Some excellent restaurants at these locations too. The apartments were 25 mins walk from city centre, not 15. Although this was manageable as it is straight road more or less along a strip with a lot of shops. Lots of activities nearby which would have been good it if had of been raining such as cinema and .

The apartments were spacious and comfortable. Plenty of parking spaces. Overall a very good experience. staff were very helpful..great location and apartment was beautiful.a group of 8 girls for 2 nights we couldnt fault it ....there was even a bag of ice in our freezer which was excellent after we arrived from a long journey from cork. Loved that the staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved that lots of families stay there and it has a big garden so all the children can meet and play and that you have everything you need in your apartment and it was spotless. very good few days in the menlo appartments.very comfordable and clean.close to city centre.food excellent in the menlo park hotel.would recommend the menlo park to my friends and family. Had everything we needed with older children like en suite bathrooms ,within walking distance of galway city ,apartment very clean ,family friendly as there was no noise at night. Spacious, clean accommodation. Very well equipped. Toiletries, Linen provided. Excellent location to access city centre and Salthill. Safe green area for chidren. Apartments were clean and comfortable. Convenient location to the centre of Galway and easy to get on the road to Salthill, Connemara, etc when driving. Very clean beds all bedrooms have bathroom . The apartment was clean. Everything was supplied. The Menlo pk hotel was on site and food was good with plesant staff. Being a family of 4 it was a perfect way to have a bit of space. The facility was nice. The apartment is definitely not luxury but more comfortable with a young family. It could do with a bit of a face lift but it was spotless. We were in ground floor apartment and so the noise did travel down from the apartment above us. The location isn't as central as made out but this wasn't too much of a problem as you can get buses or taxis if required. Did not like that the tv stations kept going off so some nights we were left with only one station. I did go up and tell them at reception and they did send someone down to fix it but the next night the same thing happened and reception was closed so when you have young children and don't go out at night you like to relax and watch tv. A lot of roadworks on the headford road on the way into galway ciy. Only niggle was our sofas, not very comfortable. Lack of channels on TV Showers run out of hot water. Nothing. Parking was difficult on arrival on our first night as there was a major function on. This was quickly resolved by staff. the only thing id suggest is that you put some net curtains up on all windows as u dont have much privacy as everyone can look in and see what you are doing. the noise from people on Friday night the banging from upstairs. not enough hot water for all group to take showers water was freezing!!!. distance from city centre. No dish towel were provided and guests were required to haul trash and recycle items before checking out. Showers ran out of hot water (even though we did engage the 'boost dial' on the hot water system). Some of the furniture was a bit old and grubby. We thought it a bit expensive. The apt. Floor wasnt very clean, washing machine wasnt working,i had to go to three different vacant apts, to use a machine. No stoppers in bathroom handbasins. Clothes airer broken. An extra charge of ten euro for clean towels. Only one tea towel supplied for week. No stand out towels for bathrooms. No extra loo rolls , there was one in each ensuite.Shouldve been given a proper all over check before we entered,.
