The Accommodation is 10 minutes’ walk to the Centre and it’s easy to arrive by car. We had the room nr. 114, very big and comfortable with the bathroom big too. All the staff is very friendly and kind. If you are tired and you don’t want to move from the Hotel in the evening you can have dinner in the Restaurant where you can eat well. Besides if you like on Saturday evening you can listen live music but if prefer quietness there are also others 2 big dining room. No problem for parking : ther. all reviews »
I liked everything about the hotel. Great location and easy to find. Great friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable, clean and the mattress was great to sleep on.
Once the shower warmed up there was good water pressure. The bathroom was spacious and clean.The restaurant was very good and also the bar was inviting with great band playing early on Saturday evening. The staff in restaurant and bar were also friendly. Great place to stay.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Computer was down when we arrived and we were immediately given tea and desert when while we were waiting, which was only a few minutes. The breakfast menu contained lovely alternatives to the usual cooked fry and they were cooked to order. Lunches and dinners were just as beautifully prepared.
Staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic & above all efficient. Really nice place to stay- walking distance to city centre. Bright, fresh, clean room with everything you need to make a comfortable stay. Lovely menu & delicious food. Thumbs up all around! We will be back.. Thank you!.

Great food - evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. They also served food until 9.30 in the evening - this was great as I was travelling down from Dublin aftrer a long day's work and really appreciated a nice meal.
Proximity to G Hotel, the room size and decor, the breakfast was delicious and could be ordered from the full bar menu (wasnt just your standard full irish) and served until 12 midday and late check out. Ideal alternative to G hotel if you are at a function there.
A very pleasant place to stay, staff helpful, accommodation very comfortable, and good food especially the breakfast which was made to order not a buffet very tasty food and evening meal good atmosphere good and pretty close to all amenities good value for money.
The room was very clean and spacious. When available, the staff was always friendly and appeared to go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Our breakfasts were delicious and were probably the healthiest we've had in Ireland.
This was our first stop in our trip around Ireland from Australia and were really surprised and pleased at the quality of the Huntsman Inn and the friendly staff. Definitely call in and stay again when we are in Ireland.
The staff are great (multi-taskers, working in the restaurant as well as at the reception) and the breakfast is excellent. Our room was amazingly quiet, considering the popularity of the hotel's bar and restaurant.
WE loved everything about the Huntsman. The people - especially Maureen - to the food to the comfy bedding made the Huntsman one of our favorite hotels in Ireland. Was going to stay one night ended up staying two!.
It was really nice. The rooms are well decorated and the bed is very confortable. The restaurant was very good. The breakfast is not buffet but it is correct. I would recomend it.

During the day there is noise from the traffic of the street but in the night it’s more quit (even if it isn’t completely calm).
One slightly negative aspect about the restaurant was while the food was of the highest quality and tasty we had to send one meal back to the kitchen as it was cold. It seemed strange that if one sources the best local products that it would be followed up to make sure that the food was hot. Maybe one slight blip on otherwise wonderful experience.
Nothing. The only downside is that the hotel is located beside two busy roads and could be noisy. I didn't find this a problem at all - no noise really penetrated the room.
Hotel car park was full on arrival due to a nearby rugby game, and no leisure facilities.
Room cold when we arrived however this did heat up later and for the rest of our stay everything else very good spacious room very comfortable bed.
Often times, the front desk was unoccupied, therefore you were "re-routed" to the restaurant/bar for any assistance, which made it a bit awkward.
There were no drawbacks. I'd note only that the hotel is not 10 minutes on foot from the city centre, as some information suggested; it's 20 minutes. But the walk into town is along the shore and easy to navigate.
When we first checked in we were taken to a smoking room but by the time we were finished with dinner Maureen worked magic and we were given a no smoking room. The next day we were upgraded again. Cannot say enough about the service.

The location was a good 15 minute walk to Eyre Square in the centre of town.
At all times room had a very strong odour of cigarrette smoke. Possibly previous tenant smoking heavily in room and when asked afterwards reception did state that they have one smoking room. Looks like we got it and it wasn't pleasant. Pity as this is the only negative.
