When I had arrived for an over night flight I was feeling awful sick, and was hoping to be able to check in early and go lay down, as my room wasn't ready Mary was kind enough to offer to take my luggage and even gave me some medicine to feel better. My room was on the small side but was very much like a room someone would have at home. I did not feel like I was staying in a hotel at all but like I was in my own home. The bus on the way back from the city centre stopped right outside the house,. all reviews »
This guesthouse is an excellent value for the money! It's located in an upscale neighborhood, very close to local pubs and restaurants, and just minutes away from city center by bus - (as well as Dublin Airport - which I was very grateful for, as I had to make an early morning flight out.)
On a couple occasions, I chose to walk to city center, and I found the walk to be very enjoyable.
The best part of the stay was Mary and her staff. Mary went above and beyond to help me on more than one o.
Perfect location, lots of city buses to city center (I walked it, taking various routes to see more of Dublin) Nice charming sitting room downstairs to meet and chat with other travelers, coffee and tea in the room. Easy to get to and from the airport. Perfect home base for exploring this side of Ireland. WiFi didn't reach my room, but it worked in the sitting room - which was a nice way to meet other travelers!.
I noticed other travelers complained about the distance of the B&B from the city centre. This was very accessible by bus (only about a 20 minute ride) or walking distance (40 minute walk). I liked being away from the city centre. The neighborhood was pleasant and I loved that Mary could accommodate my gluten allergy. I would definitely stay here again.
The Landlady, Mary, was lovely. She answered any questions we had about transport and the city. The guesthouse is a short bus ride from the city centre and buses are very regular. Breakfast was delicious. The room was comfortable and homely, spacious and light and the bathroom was clean and the shower, just right.
Staff are very friendly and professional. room was very clean and cozy.Location is between city center and airpoort. very convenient for the people to take early or late flights.Restrants and a little stores are opened even midnight and so you don't have to go to bed hungry.Pub is a family friendly place.
Liked this place so much we booked a second time on our way home through
Dublin! It is a short 10 minute ride by taxi to the airport and a short
10 minute bus ride to the city center. Facility is clean and quiet-very
friendly staff as well. Several eating options just across the street
from B&B.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Entire B&b including my room and all facilities were spotless. Very pleased with facilities provided (kettle & tea/coffee in room, warm clean shower, television with lots of choice in channels). Great value for money.
The staff was very helpful in answering questions I had prior to and during my stay. I would have prefered a double bed and 2 single beds in my quad room. We walked into Dublin City Centre. It was a straight shot and not a bad walk.
Proximity to airport and the ease of checking in late at night. Free parking was a great asset. Well served by public transport. The helpful friendly service was much appreciated as were the splendid breakfasts.
I had said we'd prefer a downstairs room at back of hotel -and that was what we found we'd been given. More spacious than expected, and staff really helpful. Being on bus route from airport excellent help.
The B&B was very cute and quaint. We were very comfortable there and enjoyed it very much. It was very centrally located to Dublin and had easy access on a short bus ride into the city center.
Super comfy bed and great shower. Helpful staff. I didn't order breakfast but hear it was good. Easy bus access to and from city (with fares explained to make it easy to give correct change).
The place was clean and run very well. We arrived late Sunday. There was no one to greet us, but the instructions we got in advance made it easy to find the place and get access to our room.
i liked the secure parking, the location was not to far away from O'connel street and the bus stops outside the b&b and i liked that Mary, although very busy, always had time to help.
Quite large room, a family room, was provided to us which was quite spacious and clean and it was peaceful. We had a pleasant stay B & B after the travel throughout the day..
We loved our hostess, Mary, who helped with anything we needed. Sometimes there can be awkwardness staying at a B&B but she made everything easy going & comfortable.
The location and the services were wonderful. I felt welcomed and
comfortable. Mary was very heplful with directions and car parking. It
was exactly what I needed in Dublin.
Location is wonderful - we walked to the city centre, and easily
accessible from airport. Owner very helpful and friendly and directions
before we arrived excellent.
Warm and comfortable environment with friendly staff and excellent breakfast with a wide range of cold meats, cheeses and breads as well as traidional Full Irish.
The bnb was fantastic value with excellent staff and bus route into Dublin was great! Room was clean warm and the off street parking an excellent bonus!!.
Easy to find, comfortable clean accommodations, great breakfast available. Staff was very helpful. Easy location to get into town and to airport.
The owner Mary and her staff are very welcoming. Spotless room and the breakfast very good. Great spot and great value. Recommend and would return.
Mary is very nice and do a very good job. The check-in was so easy even if she was not there...Same thing for our departure early in the morning.
Great Breakfast
Bus Stops right out side
About 25 min from Airport on Local buses and about 20 min to City Centre
Owner and staff very helpfull.
Breakfast was very good. Mary and Joseph were very friendly. The bus stop was right outside the door and very convenient to city and airport.
Everything, Good location close enough for ferry and Dublin City, food varied and plentyful very satisfied and prices easy on the wallet.
Near the bus station, therefore easy access to airport and city center.
Mary is very nice and helpful.
The room is clean and acceptable.
The ABC B&B was in a good location. It was very quite and
my group enjoyed the breakfast. Mary is very helpful along with her staff.
Friendly and made us welcome.
Only a few minutes by bus from the City Centre.
Although on a busy road room at the back was quiet.
Clean, comfortable, convenient to/from airport and city center. Public transportation outside door. Perfect for exploring area.
Everything was great, very helpful staff, excellent condition, thank you Mary,Liz and especial Joseph and Dana, great people!.
nothing was a problem, we dealt with a great landlady called Mary. This place does exactly what it says on the tin!.
The people, first and foremost. Very welcoming and accommodating. The
facility is basic, comfortable, and clean.
It is easy to reach the city centre and there is a bus stop in front of
the house. The room is clean and tidy.
Lovely, very helpful staff, good location, comfortable, clean rooms. Great value for money, I recommend it.
Easy access to City Center and Airport. Affordable. Friendly. Tasteful and pleasant. Accommodating host.
Very cosy athmosphare, closenes to the city centre. Local bus, restaurants and pubs accross the street.
Secure parking. All that was needed for a short stay. Rooms thought out well for a comfortable stay.
Mary was excellent in ensuring or stay was an enjoyable one would definitely stay there again.
Very nice B&B. Neat and clean. Easy access to public transportation. Enjoyed our stay.
Close to the airport and the city with bus service to both and bus stops almost at the door.
Very nice and helpful stuff, excelennt breakfast, 10 minutes by bus to the city center.
Great location
Friendly helpful staff
Good value for money
Good safe parking.
Very friendly staff, clean and safe parking for your car would stay again.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, well furnished, nice hotel to stay.
Good value for money. Handy location for the airport. Friendly staff.
Easy access via bus to downtown Dublin. Very good breakfast choices.
Great Food great people good location overall good value for money.
We had a wonderful one night stay. Beds comfortable and spacious.
The only thing I can think of is maybe updating the TV's... or making sure the remotes work. Not a big issue, as I didn't want to spend time watching TV anyway. :).
I can't think of anything.
No complaints :).
Walls seemed a little thin but this was a minor inconvenience. Became very warm during the night as heating is centrally controlled.
Didn't expect to pay extra for breakfast when I stay at a B&B.
Paying extra for breakfast - this was flagged up before we went, but at £6.50ish each rather expensive as I don't like a lot to eat -but didn't want to have to go elsewhere for breakfast. It was a good breakfast and I expect teenagers etc. do eat plenty. Maybe have two rates for breakfasts?.
Nothing.
Noisy people in room above mine late into the night - sound travelled too easily. WIFI only in public areas although I did manage to get it in my room by sitting by the door (I was attending international seminar online).
Although we were provided the room on the top floor of the house as per request, the room did not have any view & was isolated from the world and while you travel so far to see the country, even having a cup of coffee overlooking the beautiful dublin city was not possible. That's one big drawback. Would certainly stay only at place from where something is seen.
Our room was right next to another & we could hear every time our neighbor went in & out.
The wi fi was weak even in the common rooms. I could not complete some
of my computer work. On the website, the price was listed in dollars
which was an inncorrect amount. I expected to pay in euros and I did but
the price did not equate with the price in dollars listed on the
website. Please just quote the price in euros.
Stairs, although normal for the type of house and not a problem for
ourselves, but older people may have a problem getting to the top!.
Nothing.
The walls are a little bit thin so it can be noisy...
Main road outside giving some traffic noise.
The TV was very small.
It would be nicer if the internet can be used in the room.
There is a kind of strange odor to me in the corridor but not too bad.
Norhing.
I have nothing to say.
Everything was great!.
It's very minor, almost not worth mentioning, but the WiFi is only
available in the lounge and didn't work well for me.
It takes more minutes to get a hot shower. If you travelling by bus, we
should be very attentive because Dublin bus did not give any information
where were we. Thus, it is a little bit tricky to find the house at the
first time arrival.
It was a bit cold for our continental standards, but which Irish home isn't.
Chilly shower.
An easy chair in room.
Nothing.
king bed was two twins pushed together with an uncomfortable ridge in the middle.
Walls thin as paper, so could literally hear EVERY spoken word or step from other guests.. Bathroom was Harry Potter Style (his sleeproom under the stairs was a bit bigger, i guess).
Nothing.
Was what you would expect for price paid.
Noise from other rooms and from traffic outside of the building, WIFI only in public areas.
Walls are thin and Drumcondra Road is always busy, which doesn't make sleeping that easy.
