That there was Wireless Internet. Enjoyed the ability to contact friendsat home of our safe arrival via email. Also, glad to see an elevator, itwas nice that we did not have to carry our heavy luggage upstairs as wehave at other BandB'S. The staff was very friendly and thoughtful. We hadjet lag and missed the timeframe for breakfast but they graciously setus up with breakfast before we left.
all reviews » This hotel was superb; staff, food, bedroom was fantatic but I would say that the best part of my stay was the Leisure Centre - excellent Jacuzzi and the Spa was sublime, would certainly recommend all to visit. I believe this hotel should be upgraded to a 4 star at least, well done!. We really enjoyed sitting on the outdoor terrace and sipping delicious drinks carefully mixed by the professional bar staff. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view over the courtyard. Also, it is in the perfect location for visiting Bunratty castle. Friendly staff, comfort of the room and particularly the facility ofsmoking bedrooms - in fact this was one of the main reasons for bookingyour hotel. It is refreshing to see some democracy on this point forthose who wish to smoke.When we saw our room there was a strong smell of cigarrettes in the room. We called reception and told them and they changed us to another room without question and were very good about it. Great hotel. Lovely staff and good bar food. Breakfast was very nice and room was clean and comfortable. I would reccommend checking with guests on their arrival to make sure as the room did not smell very nice. luckily, we were then given a fabulous room which we would reccommend highly.A very enjoyable experience and we will be back. we missed breakfast. Slightly hard to find in dark! Shares entrance with Blarney Wollen Mills opposite castle. Our stay was too short. Wish they would have kept us longer.Tea/Coffee tray. Carpet in lift was old, worn and smelly!!!. No signs helping to direct a driver to the hotel and it is hidden behind another set of buildings. Also the breakfast was poor - seemed to be catering to the bus tours and large volumes of people rather than focusing on quality of the food. poor picture reception on tv in the room-very annoying and unnecessary.Staff service was variable - some provided excellent service, while others were poor with little command of English/Irish. Room service carried surcharges which detracted from value for money. The rooms are a bit "Standard" maybe a bit more local flavour wouldcreate a better impression; something more traditional and rusticmaybe, or on the theme of the type of Spa you promote. Not a great selection of tv channels.We booked this hotel due to the close proximity to the airport with a shuttle service. However, the hotel has one small bus with limited seating - upon check-in we asked for shuttle service the next morning (24 hrs) and they could not take us at the requested time. We had to pay for a taxi or go to the airport 5 hours early for our flight at the time slot they had open (7:30am). I phoned them in advance to make me a reservation at the show in the castle. They failed to do this and it was fully sold out by the time we arrived.Bedroom had a damp, musty smell. Had to have window continuously open. no I have stayed at many hotels in my life and this one is good.Only one thing! The only machine in the ladies for feminine products was empty - a nightmare as there is no chemist in the vicinity!! I did ask for it to be refilled but to no avail! Can this be remedied please ??. No fresh-squeezed juices for breakfast; Fan in room a little bit noisy; Chairs in lobby too soft causing backache. lack of heat at a comfortable level. we were refused dinner because of not booking. as guests did not think we need to book in hotel.The Hotel was baltic. They need to address the heating there.
