What people say
Family room was great. We have stayed at higher graded hotels where the
second childs bed was a fold out camp bed, at the Creggan it was a
proper single bed which was very welcome. Also nice and quiet at night
time, the kids were competing in athletics competition so both of these
factors helped in them getting a good nights sleep!!.
We used hotel as a stop off en route from Dublin to Clifden. As we were at a function in Dublin until 11pm Friday night and had an 11am Saturday date in Clifden we found your position and price very suitable to break the journey. We liked the fact of a late reception, comfortable room and good snappy breakfast.all reviews »
great place to stay we were on route to county kerry for a wedding, and wanted to break the journey up,the staff and local people were very friendly, breakfast was superb,we stayed in a family room, which was well priced and very clean and comfortable i would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.
The staff in this hotel are excellent and very helpful. The girl that checked us in made us feel so welcome. She was very quick and looked after us with speed but didn't make us feel rushed. This was our third visit to the hotel and we would go back to this hotel any time we are in Athlone.
room was much nicer than expected for the price we paid
You can get a taxi within 10 mins right outside the door of the hotel that can take you to the town centre for a good price where you can go shopping or cinema etc.
Very convenient to motorway exit and to Athlone Institute of Technology .
The breakfast was excellent and no-one was rushing to move you out of the restaurant. All in all a very relaxing start to the day.
The room was a great size , the staff were brilliant espectially the lady on the desk. She went out of her way to be helpful, ordering taxis , giving direction nothing was to much trouble.
The atmosphere was friendly and service efficient.
Rooms, evening meal and breakfast were all very well suited for an overnight stay.
Pet friendly was certainly true in the building.
My room was fine - had everything that was needed. It was quite comfortable. The breakfast was great and good value and service was great. The hotel is very accessible to routes.
The staff at Creggan Court for me are the key selling point they are extremely helpful, enthusiastic and nothing was too much trouble from breakfast time until evening time.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Myself and my children stayed there before the All-Irelands and it was great because the arena was just up the road. Many thanks.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The lobby had lots of room and was very comfortable. We recommend this hotel!.
Everything. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and bed. Toiletries if required . Food delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely return.
I have stayed once a week for the past 4 months and have always been treated very well. Looking forward to doing the same in the new year.
Breakfast
Room spacious clean and warm
Room to the back, quiet and overlooking farmland.
Late when we arrived but greeted with courtesy.
It was and peace peace full there as i was travevling very early the next morning and the staff at reception are friendly and help full.
I have stayed here regularly over the past 4 or 5 weeks and have been catered for very well (that's why I keep coming back!).
very friendly staff and very helpful, breakfast was very good, plenty of choice, rooms clean and tidy, nice bar attatched,.
The helpful and fantastic staff addressed everything we raised in a professional and curtious manor. Nice hotel overall.
Staff were lovely rooms were spotless and it was great value for money couldn't fault it one bit would highly recommend.
The staff Linda and Daniel. They worked on fixing the problems, but were not able to, they did try and that ment alot!.
Lovely hotel. Very good location for athlone and athlone I.t. Staff nice and friendly and breakfast was very good too.

Location perfect for us. Lovely food in bar., very friendly and helpful staff will stayagain when in the area.
I have stayed there twice in the last three weeks because it is convenient, clean and the staff are excellent.
Hotel was well located in the town and very near shops. Very comfortable room. Hotel in quiet area.
Pleasantly surprised at quality for price. Staff assistance was excellent, rooms comfortable.
staff friendly and efficient, hotel was tidy and clean and breakfast was nice and plentiful.
Staff were great. Food served at the carvery was really good, but
breakfast even better.
Love the location and the relaxed athmosphere. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

Plenty of room in the bedroom.

The room was good value and I would stay in the hotel again.
lovely clean hotel. excellent breakfast and value for money.
Location , value for money, parking and customer friendly.
Helpful and accomodating staff and a great breakfast.
Good bar and restaurant. Big rooms. Friendly n clean.
very friendly staff.... nice luxury room nice food.
The family room was very spacious and comfortable.
Room was as described and bed was comfortable.
Staff were excellent and very friendly !!.
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
Would have liked hot milk for the coffe as standard, without having to ask for it. Also would like some better type of toast availability than the normal appalling hotel toast - cold & mushy rather than crisp, fresh and hot!.
Difficult to exit hotel via a Petrol Station forecourt.
Nothing.
The surrounding area is built up so local pet exercising areas are limited.
A comfortable chair in my room would have made all the difference. The hight back chairs were so uncomfortable to sit in even for working at the table.
It would have been nice to have swimming facilities but for a short stay this was not an issue.
No complaints.
Just passing through Athlone so Creggan Court served my needs adequately. Can find no fault with it.
Nothing to fault.
not much, only minor thing, its just of roundabout next to service station, mcdonalds, and car wash so very busy.
Parts of Breakfast had been prepared for a while longer than one would like but far from terrible.
The only minor dislike was the entertainment in the evening although it was ok they were a little unprofessional !!.
the wifi in the room was not working at all and then the tv decided to give us 3 channels, even though staff worked on fixing the problems, they were not fixed.
Room could have been cleaner. Blankets could have been cleaner.
Nothing.
Hotel was difficult to find as it is located behind a shopping centre. Hotel could do with a sign on the road. Also the hair dryer in my room was not working properly. Room was very plain and un-inviting not like the photos advertised. Staff on reception were not very friendly either.
Just a little hard to locate off the road behind other facilities.
Strange bunch of dried rose stalks left in wardrobe!! Leftover from
Valentines? Very minor fault really but could be viewed as a general
tardiness around cleaning?.
Only complaint , the pillow's.
Food was just ok. It was a bit noisy at night, but there were alot of children staying that night.
Unfortunately there was a lot of noise in the hotel the night I stayed there and the Gardai were called so I did not sleep well, but the staff were very apologetic.
The rooms are a little old fashioned, but that said, they are very clean. The price was very good though.
I have nothing to complain about.
TV not working.
Facilities in bedroom very basic but satisfactory.
The worn carpet on the stairs. The foyer was a little 'tired' looking.
No dislikes.
Coming home.
Nothing.
There was no wifi in the roonm despite it being advertised as having wifi.
Staff mostly !!.
Hearing hotel staffing issues being discussed.
