The staff are friendly and helpful, even though I i arrived at about 11pm. Overall atmosphere of hotel is great for relaxation and carefree holiday by the beach. The lush greenery, beautiful beach and waves, and cool breezes makes a meal highly enjoyable in any of the restaurants. A walk through the hotel grounds at anytime of the day is a pleasure itself. Interestingly, the coffee served during breakfast has an interesting mild aftertaste when drunk plain, without milk or sugar.
all reviews » Staff customer service exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was vast and of a very high quality. Guests common facilities (gardens, pool, restaurants) are impeccable. Staff really care about the guest, is genuine. They are not just doing their job but struggle to make you feel comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and go again if I have the opportunity. The grounds to this hotel were very relaxing as you could enjoy the quiet and views, happy hour was a treat for us all, including my 5 yr old, who enjoyed playing on the beach, the music made the setting... Food Fantastic! Pool got the thumbs up from us all. Happy & helpful staff. Location of the hotel is excellent at seaside with beautiful landscape. Must-do snorkeling because the sea is crystal clear, there are many fishes and corals. Walking distance Papaya cafe, Happy cafe, 24/7 marts, etc. A good hotel for getaway. The airport bus on Senggigi station, it's so close to this hotel on 5 mins. No need to take high taxi from airport. And the hotel is so huge, our room can see the beach, walking on the beach, so nice. Breakfast is full foods and best. Superb facilities, a very luxurious resort in a beautiful area. Very nice beach, several good eating options. Also, very close to a very entertaining "strip" environment in Senggigi that you shouldn't miss. Our only regret was that we couldn't have stayed longer on this trip. The hotel, location grounds, facilities and staff were amazing. The meals at the beach side restaurant were 10/10. Well-maintained 1980s resort, with efficient and friendly staff, excellent position on Sengiggi Beach and a good choice of restaurants and bars on the premises and nearby. Spectacular position on the beach, right next to the harbour. Facilities and the garden are really nice, great swimming pool. There's wide selection for breakfast. (1)loved the location because from the big porch of the seaside bungalows you can hear the ocean (2) loved the fast WiFi in the restaurants. Location was fantastic. Grounds fantastic. Beach restaurant and fab sunset each evening with happy hour 2 for 1 drinks and a band playing. We loved the location right on Sengigi Beach. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. People, place and hotel was fantastic. staff, gardens and location. location, friendlyness. The villa was great and luxury when we got the upgrade, before this the room was very very basic. Not something I don't like, but just an objective observation: the hotel have a few items tourists may nit-pick considering its star rating. Examples are uneven wooden floors in the room, lack of wifi outside recep area, uneven spray of water from rain shower... Overall these are minor glitches that can be overlooked so long we are not focusing on minor details that do not affect the final outcome. The room was a little bit old specially the toilet. The restaurants serve time is a little bit slow. The only complaint was our air conditioner needed to be fixed then broke down and we ended up being moved at 8 30pm. Lesson learnt, just request to be moved as soon as you realise... Hint: turn air con on and go have a relax by the pool with a drinkie first before you unpack! other than that everything else was great :-). Furniture are a bit too old. WiFi only available at common area. Coz it's 4 stars hotel, coz we arrive too late and only a waitor help us to show the way, all is dark, no one help us to take the heavy luggages, it's too bad. And for free service, if you don't ask, they don't tell you on the receiption. Minor issue, but wi-fi only available in a few common areas. We expected a bit more of a 4 star hotel. The campus is nice, but the rooms could be in better shape. No wi-fi in the rooms. (1)aggressive vendors who are kept somewhat at bay by local security guards (2) lack of wash clothes & face towels in the bathroom (3) inability of maintenance to fix a coffee pot provided that kept tripping a fuse. Mozzies!!. Nothing. Very limited selection of white wines. Some rooms old & not renovated,long distance to airport,. there was nothing we did not like. Beds were very hard. Music until late is not polite for guests willing to sleep... restaurants a bit limited in menus. Italian restaurant near beach, food not so good but great for sundowners. Expensive laundry service Expensive use of computers/Internet. Room maintenance standard dropped somewhat the past year. Breakfast was not the best. Bed linen had previous bloodstains probably from killing mosquitos Hand towels sometimes not replaced Coffee and tea replacements inconsistant Inconsistant room cleanliness. I did not like being woken by the muslim prayer on the loud speaker by the nearby mosque at 0500 hours and found it was rude to be woken by the mosque and for this reason would not stay near this area again, before our upgrade our room was very basic and too far from the pool and the pool was very dirty before we were alowed to swim in the villa pool. The food and breakfast is absolutely bad. The staff is not professional, not friendly and not able to support customers. our room was invested with termites which rained debris on our bed. Very disappointed the kids club was not running. We booked this hotel as the website stated there was a kids club (we have a 4 year old) however, when we arrived, we were told the kids club programme had finished. The website does not state that the kids club closes at certain times of the year. Therefore, not much for the kids to do. Rooms food was very average. Didn't have private beach room design is old Some local people not so friendly. I got food poisoning Since I ate food only from the hotel,and drank only bottled water,I would assume it was something from the restaurant. Dirty rooms that constantly smelled like sewer. Large property in garden setting yet no one anywhere. Long walk to lobby, restaurant, etc. To walk to city center you have to walk thru a long, dark alley! Not really safe. So many locals selling crap on the beach. In your face all the time!. old room, not so clean, and unexperienced reception staff who ask us to pay even though we had submitted the voucher from letsbookhotel.com.
