It’s an excellent hotel and we would definitely recommend it to our friends and colleagues. The location is very convenient since it is just a few minutes away from the metro. The Sky Lounge provides a stunning view of hk. Make sure you will be there at about 8pm when the city illumination starts. The rooms are clean and spacious. The overall design of the hotel is really very cosy with plenty of wood panels and earthly coloured textiles. The breakfast area is not so big and in fact has little .
all reviews » The facilities were very artistically beautiful, with unusual touches, such as a museum about living in Hong Kong in the 1960. The room was spacious with both a Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower, as well as two sinks. Storage was ample, the beds were very comfortable, lighting was good, and the room was very quiet. There seemed to be only about 6 rooms on each floor. We stayed on the 11th floor, which was very quiet. The lobby was a bit small. The staff were friendly, especially the doormen. They . 1. Good location, about 5 minutes walk to the nearest TST MTR station. 2. FREE wi-fi all day, whether in the guestroom, lobby, cafe or sky bar. 3. Nearby Temple streets and many retail shops around. 4. Variety food joints available nearby, depends on your budget and taste buds. 5. Hotel rooms are clean and umbrellas are available in the room for rainy days. This is very thoughtful of the hotel! Madera hotel is a new building: we got an upgrading to our booking, so we had a double floored room at 28th floor, from wich we had a wonderful view of all the sourrounding skyscaprers. We spent also sime time in the GamExpert room, fully enjoying the lull. The hotel is central and in a few minutes. We really enjoyed our stay. One of the hotel receptionist named Mr Adrian Wong is super friendly and helpful. Very close (800 meters) from the Temple Street Night Market. Spend the day on the Hong Kong side or on one of the islands then stay close to the hotel at night exploring the market. Anyway, there are choices available to choose from a list of coffee drinks and bread/pie. No too bad. The breakfast included in the reservation consists in: orange juice + the/ coffee + brownie. It was good, but you have really few choice. All good nothing bad. Didn't make a reservation inclusive of breakfast. We checked out the breakfast anyway once ... it was very meagre and expensive. They must improve it. Glad we didn't include breakfast with our reservation. Pillow too soft. Coffee bar could be expanded a bit, it is the only place on site for food and drink. The bar at the top of the hotel has a beautiful view. Hours of operation are only 1700-2300hrs and no access outside of those times to the view. The size of the room which is a little cramp, but I understand is normal for a hotel room in hk. A bit expensive. Bad smell in the room in the first night but disappeared after first cleaning probably because the room was closed for a long time. Breakfast better outside cleanness can be better - depends too much on housekeeper of the day. Note that this is a boutique hotel, so do not expect extra large rooms. If you prefer big rooms, you should book for the delux rooms on the 19th floor. The pillow is a bit too soft for me. The rooms are little small for family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The queen bed could be a little larger...but it gets the job done. The breakfast was just a pastry, cup of coffee and bottle of orange juice, sufficient but maybe this could be improved. The cafe that supports the hotel and the residences next door is pretty expensive so I tended to walk two blocks to the local Starbucks. (The hotel does offer a breakfast for a set fee but I did not opt for that.). The bathroom ... can see through to the toilet if using the basin. Shower curtain ... prefer solid screen. No door on entry to wet area .... I like a door between the bedroom and wet areas. Would prefer an asian style breakfast. Drinks far too expensive in rooftop bar! Wanted to watch Australian Open tennis .. not available on TV channels provided. Nothing,. the corridor is a little narrow. I stayed 3 nights in hotel, but only have 2 bottles of water during these days, I was not expect snack from mini bar, but i was hoping have the bottle of water everyday... there was no heating in the hotel, they said it is like that in all Hong Kong hotels. The breakfast was a bit boring the same thing each day(not too many choices) and the staff a bit clumsy and dis-organized. No comment. Breakfast is limited. Stain on the carpet. 1) The room service tidy the room but missed out vacuuming the carpet. 2) View not good for lower levels - looking at antenna. nothing in particular. Drab grey colors, poor choice of wall pictures, lack of bathroom counter space. Automatic door closers on closets a bit of a nuisance. Could have a few more hooks on walls. location not to everyone's tastes but I liked - funky part of town near night market. stingy on bottled water!. Not as many facilities as similar priced hotels in the area. The bathroom stink but was indeed very clean. Maybe exhaust fan not efficient. Room was not clean with quite a few hair and dirt on the carpet. Nothing. - Weird smell in the room right after check in, and it took a while for it to disappear. - The so-called jacuzzi function of the bath tub wasn't working properly. The coffee bar and the pretend "breakfast" no value for money there. N/A. Nothing.
