This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. It is a family-owned hotel and the young lady working the front desk was so helpful and wonderful to talk to! I went with a good friend and she made our stay wonderful! The hotel was even prettier than the pictures and the view from the hotel was breathtaking. The breakfast that is included is also great. all reviews » We highly recommend everyone to choose this hotel. It's the best hotel during our honeymoon trip in Europe. The room is much better than how it looks like on Booking's pictures. It's a big, bright, clean, and comfortable room, with a big private balcony and romantic sunset and sea view. The shower water is warm. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast at the public balcony with sea view. Hotel owner Sophia is very friendly and helpful. She gave us tourist information, maps, boat time when we check. This hotel is a great find! Far away from the main town to be peaceful, close enough so that you can be in the center of it all in a 10 minute walk. Good sized room, modern bathroom with great shower. Lovely balconies and views from most rooms. Nice bedding, towels, etc. beds on the firm side. Strong wifi in lobby and in rooms. The service was outstanding, especially Sophia who greeted us warmly, explained all touristy info, gave us a choice of room location, and answered all our question. This hotel is so relaxing with fantastic views over Mykonos. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and always there on hand with a smile should you need anything. The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of quality food. The setting was so tranquil and beautiful. The location of this hotel is simply perfect, it offers a gorgeous view over Mykonos Town, which is one of the reasons we chose this hotel in the first place. Rooms are simple but beautiful, very clean, each with a private balcony. A bottle of champagne was in our room when we got there so it was a very pleasant surprise. Also, breakfast is served every day on the hotel terrace, so you can admire Mykonos Town and the bay. It was an unique experience and we would definetly love to come back here. very very good location and view. not so far away from the city center and the famous attractions(if you know the shortcuts). We missed the ferry for some reasons, and the lady from reception was nice to help us cancel the hotel on that day to minimize our losses, and also helped us order for dinner. The Staff were wonderful and willing to bend over backwards to help with anything from having a sandwich to booking an ATV, the price was unbelievable, the breakfast was great (cereals, pastries, eggs, sausages, veg, cut meats, cheeses, coffee, juice, etc), the rooms were clean, spacious and well kept with huge raised ceilings, beds had very comfortable pillows and linens, and the balconies were large and had amazing views (as did the pool and reception patio and breakfast areas). A very well appointed hotel with spacious rooms and a fantastic view over Mykonos town. Very helpful staff. Reception gave us a comprehensive briefing on places to visit including some restaurant recommendations. Staff carried our cases to our room (up several flights of stairs). We were met at the ferry by the hotel's van despite a late arrival and transported back again when we left. Reception arranged a rental car which was delivered to the hotel. Good breakfast was provided. The staff at this hotel was excellent! So friendly and helpful. The views of Mykonos were exceptional especially by the pool. The pool area was very relaxing. The room was very clean and included all of amenities needed. The lobby of the hotel was gorgeous and spotless. The only very small complaint I had was that the bed was not very comfortable. Despite that I would reccomend this hotel to anyone traveling to Mykonos and would stay there again myself. Loved this place!. The staff was perhaps the best i had ever seen.. they picked us up for free from the port at very short notice.. gave us some great tips on what to do on the island... facilities are fantastic.. if you dont feel like heading out to the beach one of the days.. the pool overlooks mykonos town and the sea and is probably one of the best views on the island... cannot say enough good things about the people that run it.. highly reccomend... will definitely stay if we go again. Probably the most helpful staff of any hotel I've ever stayed in! Both Sophia and Sid went out of their way to be helpful. They explain everything about Mykonos, booked ATVs for us and got us set for a day trip to Delios. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent. Had triple room which was large. Everything was very clean and in good shape. Pool area was excellent. Breakfast was very good. The best views of Mykonos Town on the island!. Excellent in every respect. Sophia at the front desk was very helpful and provided us with information about beaches and restaurants. The view was sensational and the sunsets from our room were awesome. As others have said, a 5-10 minute walk down some stairs to the town area and you could get a taxi back, but we never did. The nights were beautiful and it was a way to walk off supper! Hotel Alkyon in Mykonos is situated on top of a hill overlooking the city, and the sea behind it, with a gorgeous view from every room, facing west for spectacular sunsets The hotel is beautiful, each room with a terrace, plus a lovely large terrace. Breakfast is delicious; the owner's mother made Greek specialties, besides all the usual hot and cold choices in a good breakfast buffet. And they provide free shuttle service to and from the port. The location is excelent,just a Walking distance from Mykonos town(by stairs,located very close to Alkyon). The View from the hotel(pool,lobby) is amazing!The sunset from the pool is wonderful.Sophia is a sweet person,always there to help and with a big smile.She arranged transfers from the port and to the airport(free of charge),the car to rent and also indicated very good restaurants and beaches for us. It is also out of the downtown hustle and bustle which we liked. The walk to and from downtown takes a few minutes but then it was great to wear off supper - would highly recommend it. Even you have to know that it's necessary to walk 10min up from the centre, the hotel is quite fabulous: all is new and very clean, the breakfast is abundant, the staff is icollaborative but the most amazing is the magnificent sea view from everywhere. When arriving from the port it is recommended to put attention on the hotel's sign for you to be taken in a van. The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. It's very lovely hotel, not fare from the center of Mykonos, very friendly staff, nice breakfast, beautiful swimming pool which we didn't use, because the weather was quite chilly. We were travelling with older kids and they stayed in a separate apartment. The breakfast was superb. The staff were really helpful with ideas on what to see and where to go. They helped us hire a car. It cost s 20 Euros to get to bags of washing washed dried and folded. Amazing. My husband and I recently stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The staff was absolutely amazing and it was by far the best price we have paid for a hotel since we have been traveling in Europe, and we never would have thought it was have been so stunning at such a budget price. We walk from hotel to the downtown for twice but lost our way for twice when we come back. It needs some effort to remember the similar ways. I liked everything at this hotel. Leaving. He have no bad comments of this hotel. Nothing. nothing. The only down side was the long walk downhill with many steps to get into town, (about ten minutes) and the long walk uphill to come back. But you can take a taxi back for about 4 euros. So if you're physically fit, and like a little exercise this need not be a problem. Those who complain about this facility should stay home. For some people it might be difficult to walk on steps up to reach the hotel, but for us it wasn't a problem. Only one thing. There was no real milk for coffee and breakfast. I don't like long life milk. My only criticism. Hotel first class. Only downside to the location was the slightly difficult walk down to the town and steep walk back. Taxis cheap though and readily available. Nothing. Don't know about the rest of the rooms but the only thing wrong with ours was the bathroom was a little small. If they had moved the wall of the room back 1meter it would have been perfect. The room itself was very large and nice. No. The path leading down to the town was dark and treacherous. However this was only a minor problem and would not put us off coming back. You need to walk down to city center for about 10 minutes but it won't be an issue. You can take a taxi in stead of walking up when going back. Taxi costs 3-4Euros. Breakfast was good, but on some days fruit ran out. Eating with view was nice. 10 minute walk up from downtown a bit of a pain but good way to burn off some of dinner. We took it as exercise. There is more than one route up and down. The shortcuts between the hotel and the center of the town can be a bit confussing. But maybe get lost in the alleys is fun, too, if you are not too tired/hungry. As already reported by another user, should be absolutely controlled the volume and the type of the music at the pool. Hours "disco music" may be irritating. At the extreme music should be whispered, with a preference for classical music, in harmony with the level of the hotel. Better the silence. If one wants to hear the music he prefers can use headphones. Hotel is on steep hill with many steps, not suitable for the elderly, but well worth the climb for the awesome views we had. It's a little bit difficult to walk up the hill on the way back to the hotel. it's really a path. 上下山的小路有点难走，类似一条山路，还要钻桥洞. Lack of a parasol or any other means of shade on the room's balcony. Shower was a bit narrow. Nothing. Beds little hard but overall we had a fantastic stay. I thought the Mykonos Town was very expensive. Bathroom was not very clean.
