We just returned from a stay at the Mariahilf Hotel. The hotel is completely charming, family run and totally gracious. The rooms were spacious, clean and charmingly decorated with vintage pieces. We had chocolates on our pillows, luxury toiletries in the bathrooms and a hot and cold breakfast. My son is 16, tall and skinny. He is constantly eating and walked away from the breakfast unable to eat another thing. The hotel is well appointed for a comfortable walk to most sites. We visi.
all reviews » A very very nice hotel only 30 min walking distance from the old city. The district Mariahilf is a very quite and cozy place of Munich. Surrounded by parks and quite small streets. The hotel itself is in 5 stored building built after the Second Warld War. Interior is old fashion stylized. Wooden furniture, carpets, nice old fashioned curtains, beds are with wooden or metal frames. Very cozy. The owners are extremely responsive and try to help with advises. No 24/24 reception, no brfeakfast, no a/C. Very old furniture, the beds are not professinal hotel beds. Very expensive for what you get compared to some of the other places we've stayed. Breakfest was included but when arrived it wasn't. room very small no air condition, it was very hot. The room is really small for 2 persons.
