I'd best describe the hotel as a "very comfortable, high quality hotel with friendly backpacker hostel type ambiance". Everything has been thought of to make the stay easy, agreable and fun - including option for travellers on a budget. Despite the affortable rooms, I found more "travel essentials" being met at the SuperBude than at most 4* hotels. We stayed in double rooms and then updadet to the "Rockstar Suite" - definitely worth the money... Tip: if you're staying in the Rockstar Suite, bri.
all reviews » Everything is brand-new and pretty well designed. Very stylish and simple. Breakfast for additional price but that was a good choice of food. The location is excellent: lots of bars, cafes and fruit markets. Just across the hotel one can find small shop to buy fish sandwiches. The centre is reachable by S- and U-Bahn, at the hotel also one can borrow a bike (we didn't try but it supposedly included in price). What didn't we like?? It was clean, big, modern, had free use of the Apple Mac's, lot's of comfy chair's to lounge about in, Beer in the fridge. Room's were cleared up very impressively (which is not always easy when their is 16 men on a stag do). All in all we couldn't of asked for better!. I love the staff, very helpful. Breakfast area and the selection as well as the price (€8) is excellent, too. Overall, this hotel has an awesome vibe of a real place with real people and I prefer it over anything else (East, etc.) in town because of this. Very clean and I liked the salon area - you could get snacks and use the computer, or just relax. this was very handy on our last day when we had checked out of our room. Quite a relaxed atmosphere, and nice breakfast though not a huge choice of things. The hotel is cousy and friendly. The staff in the reception is always there and always polite. We had breakfast 1 day. 8 euros is a bit expensive but the variety of the buffet allowed us to have a very nice meal. The drinks were not overpriced. My favorite hostel/hotel! The hotel ,was V.good,i would definitely stay there again,not difficult to find buses easy to get to centre,train station closer than I thought ,most of the public very helpful if you look lost,. Super-friendly staff, nice reception area with bar, good wi-fi, excellent location, good not typical breakfast, cleaning service worked perfectly well. We also liked the relatively hard beds. The hostel was really good for a stag do, exactly what we needed. The hostel was funky and the main strip is 10 mins walking. Super friendly staff, big rooms, nice reception area with bar, great nightlife and restaurants just around the corner. Everything was fantastic. Great value. Reception staff where very helpfull. I stay in many hotels, but this one was really completely different - in a very positive way. Don't let the "one star" scare you away. Fascilities were great - and theoption for 4 bed rooms and "Rock Star suites" are great for families with kids. Good atmosphere, nice people. Superb breakfast. If you're fussy about having parking on site: there's no parking at the hotel. There is plenty of public parking within 2 - 10 minute radius, and a map detailing locations at the hotel. well, many young and not very people staying there can be noisy coming back from a bar but it didn't disturb us too much. The room key kept erasing. Just 1 shampoo/soap/conditioner in the bathroom is not working for me, because it leaves the skin way too dry. Maybe you guys can change the formula? Or add a conditioner as a separate tube? Right now, it just very aggressively removes hydration. The location wasn't ideal with kids, no grocery shops nearby, many bars, very scruffy. You couldnt even get a bottle of Sprite and I didn't want to pay 2.50 for trendy bitter lemon which kids dont like. We found a couple of neighbourhood supermarkets eventually but wouldn't go to this place again with children. On the first day the cleaning lady arrived very early in our room, we were still getting dressed. But on the other days we put the "do not disturb" sign until we leave and didn't have this problem again. Also they could have some international channels on the tv other than the German. If I must really say something then it would be that the hair dryer works bad. Very dark at night,the area could look intimidating ,but not as bad as it looks ,if in doubt try walking down some street s in the day,to get your bearings.lots of homeless,. We could use some more comfort in the rooms. There is no table so you can't do any computer work in the rooms without neck pains, also the night lamps were too bright, there were no glasses for drinking water and non-detachable shower in the bathroom. Luckily the wash basin was deep & big enough to wash our 19 months old girl :). The location is not perfect for the reeperbahn but is very good for the nice parts of Hamburg. No negative comments at all. None! I really enjoyed it and highly recommend. Maybe a little cold, but it was also in the wintertime, som we just turned up the heat. The only issue we had was even though we had the full address of the superbude hostel, the taxi drivers would refuse/claimed they wouldnt take us to the hostel. I know its not the hostels fault but after a few pints was very irritating. Also we have an email claiming we didn't have to pay the city tax as the hotel was going to. So when we checked out, i was a bit confused when we had to pay 44 euro's for this as the rule was changed and we hadn't been informed. I hope this can be looked into. Staff a breakfast on Monday morning. Her attitude was not good .Slaming plates, tutting when we put plates in the incorrect slots. She was in a foul mood. Nothing. The 4 of us were initially only offered 1 internet access code (we found out we could request more later) Room access cards lose their magnetism easily No in-room phone or description of facilities/policies No sandwiches available at 7:30am (when we departed) If you are heading to the airport with luggage, it's quite a long hike to the nearest train station (take the bus). Nothing!. We had to stay in a triple room at the roof that was a little small but the double room after our first night was perfect!. Nothing. Couldn't fault it. Stationary shower head caused ladies very slight inconvenience. quite a walk from the centre of Hamburg. Room at night far too hot. no aircondition. rooms can become super hot with no air conditioning. Schwierig Parken in der Gegend. Nothing. Nothing. The WI-FI signal does not ready outer rooms. Should be easy to fix with an extra router. The support under the middle of the bed was defect.
